There are moments in my career that don’t just get photographed, they get carved into you 💖

Two polar bears slipping silently through Arctic water, one still wearing the rust of a recent meal, the other meeting my lens with a stare I won’t forget.

Some encounters stay with you long after the shutter closes. This was one of them. 🐻‍❄️

Everyone pictures the Arctic fox as a perfect white ghost in the snow.
This is the version I love more: mid-molt, half-shed, patched in brown and grey, looking like it just rolled out of bed and straight into survival mode.
Spring and summer in the Arctic is messy. The coats come apart, the hunting gets serious, and these little opportunists don’t stop for anything. I could watch them for hours.

It’s rare that I will inspire my photography in a drawing, but this photo was inspired by @sergei_sakharoff drawing from a few years ago 🥹

I’ve been testing the new Sony FE 100-400mm F4.5 GM since July, and now it’s with me here in South Georgia.
Spoiler: I love it. 🖤

Here’s why 👇

✨ Constant F4.5: zoom from 100 to 400 without losing light.
✨ Internal zoom: the lens doesn’t extend and stays balanced.
✨ Super fast autofocus, ideal for wildlife.
✨ Detail wide open: look at every single feather in this portrait.

Really, really in love.
