P1.2 Final Mid Group Project

This space is designed with an abstract symmetrical layout that emphasizes a central diagonal pathway, directing visitors through a series of interconnected volumes. This design creates a smooth flow, guiding people from one area to another, with a grand central opening at its core that acts as the focal point of the space. Strategically placed windows and openings are essential, as they control the amount of natural light and highlight views of the gallery and various Versace designs. The use of luxurious materials like polished marble, rich wood paneling, and gleaming gold accents is intentional, aiming to enhance the space’s elegance and reflect Donatella Versace’s luxurious ideals. These materials not only add visual interest but also reinforce the spatial hierarchy. Carefully chosen furnishings, lighting fixtures, and seating arrangements are incorporated to encourage interaction and engagement within the space. These elements invite visitors to pause, reflect, and connect with their surroundings, fostering a sense of comfort and belonging within the harmonious design. by @anait_designs

P3 Fall 2024 Studio

Black Forest, Germany

Design Intention :

The design intent is to create a center that complements the surrounding area, using local materials to make this space feel cohesive and harmonious with the Black Forest. It prioritizes the history of Germany through its materials while also providing amazing scenic views of the landscape that will attract more visitors every season. The intention is to merge the exterior with the interior to preserve natural elements and make the center a beauty of its own.
This approach will preserve the natural landscape while providing sustainability through the use of local materials and ecological practices. It aims to evoke feelings of calmness, awe, and happiness. by @anait_designs

Project P1

Studio 210

As I was analyzing the ocean park painting number 19 I identified several key aspects that resonating throughout the painting, which were unity and focal point

I emphasized unity through the use of shapes which is demonstrated on my final parti. Within my composition I was able to achieve a form of unity and movement, as well as repetition, since these shapes were particularly used more in this painting. The way I achieved unity in my model is by having them flow together in space as well as keeping similar heights creating a structure that is continuous.

The focal point was very distinct as it was a central point and the darkest in the painting. I emphasized the focal point by making the central part of the model tower over the rest of the model, making it easier to see even standing from afar and would be easier to spot. The height represents a form of hierarchy which is why I decided to make it very tall and narrow making it a hallway that you’re able to walk through but the height makes you feel very small as well as how narrow it is. The walls of the focal point is also part of the movement and the color white was to emphasize what I saw at first which were walkways.I also painted a dark blue line representing a path which was shown in the painting with the continuous lines. The walls of the focal point is also part of the movement and the color white was to emphasize what I saw at first which were walkways. I wanted to have different variations on the layering in the pavilion to show how i viewed some of the shapes and colors as well.

Colors also played a role in how i chose to add them onto my model. This painting consisted of a lot of bright colors which I incorporated in the areas that stood out the most and created unity.
These colors also represented tranquility in the painting and blue was used the most, i consider blue to be a calm serene color and the touch of green from the painting because it was the only green which i thought was really important as well. by @anait_designs

Lower-income locals will most likely to object paying an extra fee for recycling. Usually, recycling is not free, and it is charged extra, whether it is on the garbage bill or paid for to be disposed of properly. Included among the lower-income locals are young adults and teenagers. We can come up with a couple of solutions that will help them implement recycling plastic water bottles in their daily lives by making recycling free. Although this seems almost impossible, the way we can do this is by increasing tax rates or having apartment complexes and other large housing places include recycling bins in their houses. Most apartment complexes do not have this implemented, and this can help tenants want to recycle as well. Another way that can help younger adults and lower-income locals is by decreasing the costs of biodegradable products and making them more aesthetically pleasing. This will incline these young adults to buy them at a great, affordable price and also because they look good. Aesthetics is a big part of this marketing for younger adults. It can be targeted at a gym-oriented audience or students, knowing that these will probably be their bigbest consumers because they like to buy cheaper items, especially if they are functional and aesthetic. Another way to get more locals to buy these biodegradable products or to start recycling plastic water bottles is to have a reward for every water bottle they throw away. There could be dedicated local stores around the towns that can receive multiple plastic water bottles and could rack up points for prizes or money. Rewards drive people to want to keep doing something because they know they will get something back in return. Overall, these are some solutions to help locals and young adults recycle more frequently and buy sustainable products.
