P1.2 Final Mid Group Project

This space is designed with an abstract symmetrical layout that emphasizes a central diagonal pathway, directing visitors through a series of interconnected volumes. This design creates a smooth flow, guiding people from one area to another, with a grand central opening at its core that acts as the focal point of the space. Strategically placed windows and openings are essential, as they control the amount of natural light and highlight views of the gallery and various Versace designs. The use of luxurious materials like polished marble, rich wood paneling, and gleaming gold accents is intentional, aiming to enhance the space’s elegance and reflect Donatella Versace’s luxurious ideals. These materials not only add visual interest but also reinforce the spatial hierarchy. Carefully chosen furnishings, lighting fixtures, and seating arrangements are incorporated to encourage interaction and engagement within the space. These elements invite visitors to pause, reflect, and connect with their surroundings, fostering a sense of comfort and belonging within the harmonious design.
