If this brings back memories... you know exactly how special gaming was in the 90s. 💙

Alex Kidd was one of the first heroes for so many of us.

Did you ever play it?

How was this legal!? 🚗💥

Back in 1997, Carmageddon shocked everyone.

Banned in several countries, censored in others, and impossible to ignore—it became one of the most controversial games ever released.

Who else remembers the outrage?

DBZ OPENING… BUT WITH AI.

Someone recreated the classic Dragon Ball Z opening using AI.

Nostalgia just got a very weird upgrade.

A sweet rarity from the #Playstation age: the uncommon #Asciiware controller! Unluckily this one is not mine, but it's a pleasure to see. Have you ever owned one of these? #gamesofthe90s by @analog.knights

We all tried it.

You missed the ducks, the dog laughed at you… and then you discovered you could shoot the dog.

Or at least, you tried.

Duck Hunt used the NES Zapper and could only detect shots when the screen was displaying a bright flash, which is why it didn’t work with modern TVs.

Lin bio for more curiosities.

Everyone: “AI is going to kill us.”

AI: proceeds to recreate RoboCop.

Maybe we should’ve paid more attention to the movies.

This week, AI safety has been all over the news, with researchers and AI companies warning about increasingly autonomous systems and the risks of losing control over them.

And honestly… watching RoboCop’s robots completely fail doesn’t exactly make me feel better.

DID U KNOW?

The original Resident Evil on PS1 had different versions depending on where you played it. Some releases removed or changed blood effects, altered certain death scenes and even edited parts of the opening.

At the time, these changes were made to tone down the violence for specific markets. Most players probably had no idea they were playing a censored version.

Same game, different details.

Which version did you play?

ORIGINAL OR REMAKE?

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is coming back as a full remake for Nintendo Switch 2 on November 5, 2026.

Nintendo has rebuilt the visuals, updated the camera and movement, added fully voiced cutscenes, expanded dialogue and introduced new features like Threads of Time.

The original launched on the Nintendo 64 in 1998 and helped redefine 3D adventure games.

But can the remake capture the same magic?

Which version are you choosing?

Link in bio for more info.

LEGO just revealed an official PlayStation set based on the original PS1.

1,911 pieces. Almost 1:1 scale. The original controller plugs into the console, the Power and Open buttons actually work, and there are even two hidden game dioramas featuring Gran Turismo and Ape Escape.

The PS1 launched back in 1994. Now you can build one out of LEGO.

Honestly… this might be the perfect piece of nostalgia for a gaming room.

Would you buy it?

Old commercials were something else.

This Japanese Super Mario commercial from the late '80s wasn't actually advertising the game. It was promoting Nagatanien's Mario-themed food products and a prize campaign.

Buy the products, send in the entry coupon, and you could win Mario-themed prizes like telephone cards, a digital watch or even a camera.

Mario selling curry and giving away a watch and a camera… this is exactly the kind of bizarre retro advertising I love finding.

Would you have wanted one of these prizes?
