Reviewing portfolio of @#

Takeouts:
1. Make it really easy to get in contact
Don’t bury contact info in menus or forms. A visible phone number, email, or chat button reduces friction and lost leads.

2. Your mockups should not overscream your design
Presentation mockups (browser frames, device shots, fancy backgrounds) can distract from the actual design. Let the work speak; keep the mockup styling subtle.

3. Don’t use intro animations that take too long
Splash screens or loading animations that take too long frustrate users and delay access to content. Keep them fast (or skip them) so people reach what they came for.

Kusama died three weeks ago. This was her last exhibition, and the first time I understood why she spent a lifetime making the same dot, over and over, until it stopped being a dot and started being everything. No wall stays a wall in here. No floor stays a floor. You just get pulled into the pattern until you’re part of it too. Rest in dots, Yayoi. taken in Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam by @analogue.doc

Proof that beauty exists in the most common places

Anyone who’s eaten tapas in Spain knows these paper-thin, non-absorbent “servilletas” do everything except clean your hands. But Madrid-based photographer Felipe Hernández saw them for what they really are: tiny, disposable works of art capturing Spain’s rich culinary culture. His new book Servilletas showcases 600 prints collected from local bars and restaurants across the country turning throwaway souvenirs into timeless graphic design gems.

These are hotel luggage labels. Before barcodes and baggage tags, a hotel porter would paste one onto your suitcase when you checked in. With hundreds of near-identical black trunks coming off every train and ship, the label was how anyone knew whose bag was whose, and where it had come from.

Hotels quickly realised the labels were free advertising. Travellers realised they looked good. A trunk plastered in labels told everyone at the station where you’d been, so people started asking for them and arranging them so the best ones faced out.

They disappeared in the 1960s. Suitcases went plastic, paste stopped sticking, and flying replaced the whole porter ritual with a paper tag around the handle. by @analogue.doc
