On the hollow veil night of October 31st
Let us brew up all the magic, for our ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY as @ancestral.rhythms!!

Opening with @mishanayoga
to dance our bodies free as our warm up,
to then have @mysticsimcha + @milkweed_medicine opening the container with their somatic and spell magick, to then have @ghostpipemusic weave his live percussion and DJing ways to take us on an ecstatic dance journey. We then will close with a sound bath, led by the one and only @allie_on_adventures

Who else would we have building the alter for Samhain other than our near and dear, soulful collaborator, inspired, Jayme Rose @theroseresonance 🌹🍂💫

If you have been to a dance with us in the last year, you definitely got to see Jaymes work. We love how she honors nature and the ancestors through her art so much.

a multi passionate and intuitive earth based artist; Jayme Rose weaves her heart, and the heart of the ones who came before her, into all that she shares.

Holding deep reverence for the wisdom of flowers, cycles of nature and abundance of the natural world Jayme brings an altar installation that is one of a kind and a testament to the beauty of impermanence 🌹✨🧚🏼‍♂️🫶🏼

🕯️ DJ SPOTLIGHT: GHOST PIPE 🕯️

Philly fam, this one is tender.

On Samhain, Ghost Pipe will play his final set in the Philly area before he heads west. We are so honored that his farewell lands on our dance floor, on the night the veil is thinnest, as Ancestral Rhythms celebrates its very first birthday.

Ghost Pipe is the internationally touring musical offering of Connor Wills, a holistic psychotherapist and professor of psychology and counseling. It is so much more than a DJ set. Connor weaves original production with live, improvised, multi-instrumental percussion, creating space for healing and spiritual growth. His music invites us back into connection with Creator, with the plant medicine path, and with our ancestral roots, through movement and through each other.

His sound leans toward Indigenous music from South America and West Africa, carried with deep respect and reverence for those cultures and their traditions.

Ghost pipe is also a plant that glows white in the dark forest, living by the hidden threads that connect everything beneath our feet. What a perfect medicine to dance with on the night we honor our ancestors.

So come move with him one more time. Come say thank you. Come send him off with all the love this community has to give. 🖤

The evening also holds Halloween Funky Yoga Dance with Mary of Mishana, ceremonial movement with Gina and Simcha, closing sound healing with Allie, an ancestor altar (bring a photo, memento, or offering for your beloved dead), an alter created by Jayme Rose, crafts with Jess, tarot with Ryan, massage with John, food, and a coat and food drive for neighbors in need.

Join Joanne for a Fall Watercolor Flowers Art Class. Participants will make a collage using watercolored coffee filters and create an arrangement on paper bags. Led by Joanne.

🌀 About Your Facilitator 🌀

Joanne Scofield is an artist with a BA in Art from Rutgers and a Masters degree from Pratt in art therapy. She has extensive experience in community art programs fostering the healing arts.

She is also a tarot card teacher and reader.

🌀 Items for the SWAPS! Clothing and Ritual Tools will be swapped. Take what you love, leave what you don't. You don't have to leave something to take something! Its all about sharing the wealth.

🌀 Kundalini Yoga with Simcha 🌀
Kundalini Yoga provides a transformational experience by combining asanas (postures), pranayama (breath), shavasana (receiving rest and a gong bath), and mantra (sacred sounding). All created to transform our nervous and glandular systems, by raising our own kundalini energy within us.

These specific sequences are also scientific, created to assist us in manifesting change within and around us as we practice to lift self-limiting beliefs, let go of mindsets that habitually stop us and raise our consciousness together through our own breath, sound, and movements.

As we release our own blocks, balance our glandular systems and revitalize our nervous systems, Kundalini gives the opportunity for us to connect, nourish and raise our creative energies so that we can continue to evolve while creating ever-more authentic and meaningful lives.

Simcha Rachel Guttenplan, founder of This Wholly Life, is a server of humanity: through her artistry, space holding, facilitation, sacred sounding and experiences. Creator of her own mystery school The Wholly School, an oracle deck, “The Deck of Queens,” self publishing a variety of books as well as an international showing photographer and fine artist : she has a way of bringing together artistry, spirituality and the art of manifestation into the 3D world.

A weaver of a variety of modalities, Simcha brings together her practices of kundalini, the Kabbalah, theta healing, somatic work, reiki, the elements, sacred sounding as well as a ceremony + ritual.
