A few years ago, I lost one of my best friend Lewis to cancer. Before he passed, he gave me a polyester long sleeve for my birthday. That shirt has always meant so much to me.
I remember when I was going to school, and after I graduated, he surprised me with a boat trip out of San Pedro. That day, he caught a yellowtail and I caught a sheephead. 🎣
Years later, I found myself out on the water wearing that same lucky long sleeve, and somehow, I was able to catch both species in the same day. His yellowtail and my sheephead. I knew right then he was with me. I couldn’t do anything but cry because I felt his presence so strongly. I miss you so much, my friend. Thank you for always believing in me. I truly don’t think I’d be where I am today without you.

What a day. Caught a sheephead, bonito, and barracuda, but nothing beats my first yellowtail. Then, the seal tried to tax me . Good thing @capitan_barbosa85 helped me rescue it. Memories like this that’s why I love fishing! Thank you so much for this !!! by @anchor4good
