2000kms from Kirkenes to Ålesund ✅

While not Oslo, we are grateful to have made it 2000kms through a lot of rain, rain, and more rain, and some very stormy seas with a little amount of sunshine thrown in.

From not one rudder break, but two … not only did we make it, we cleared up a whole lot of rubbish from the ocean and beaches along the way!

We met amazing local communities, fellow adventurers, and a few whales too.

While the rowing itself is over - for now - the purpose of this challenge isn’t. We want to continue our objectives of protecting our marine environment and raising money for the wonderful charity, Air Ambulances UK.

Well we have finally done it 2000 km later two tons of trash collected and some very sore hands and bums but what a trip it was.

A big thanks to all the support throughout this whole journey we couldn’t have done it without everybody contributing.

We still plan to continue raising money a bit longer for our charities and our causes feel free to help us out as much as you can.

The first 24 hours of rowing complete ✅

Just another 6 weeks to go!

Getting used to our rowing shifts, two hours on and two hours off! Anders and Glyn settling into a rhythm 🙌🏼

We have rowed quicker than expected and are tracking well 🏁

And we are off! 🙌🏼

We begin our row to Oslo, 3000kms, over 6-7 weeks, four of us, in one boat.

Thank you to everyone who has supported our challenge, we wouldn’t be here without you.

But for now, we better start rowing, we have a long way to go!

We are rowing 3000kms over 6 weeks, down Norway’s coastline to raise money for @airambulances and promote ocean conservation.

Var en fornøjelse at gennemføre første ultra distance med @christian.thue89 😁 Startede som en PT kunde der hadede at løbe og knap kunne løbe 3 km, er nu en rigtig god ven og ultraløber 💪❤️ Stolt af os begge! by @anders_thormann

LOSS OF STEERING OR RUDDER
.
A potential when rowing oceans or coastlines. For the @nordic_endeavour_2026 other options need to be tested during training. @anders_thormann and @glyn_sadler steer with the oars on a compass bearing and land features. This would not be an ideal situation, constantly rowing harder on one side “left or right oar only”. Wind currents and tides will push the boat one way while you fight to keep a heading. A good exercise and we managed a full 2 hour shift like this 💪🏻💪🏻.
