Gratitude. After a long summer of rinse and repeat: planes, hotels, cars, trucks, buses, greenrooms, stages, soundchecks and shows, I am relatively exhausted. But this post is not about that…. It’s about how lucky I am to get to do what I love and how grateful I am to get to do it for a living.

The people I play music with are my brothers. The crew we surround ourselves with are our family. The fans that show up night after night are my people.
I’m surrounded by love and that’s beautiful.

It’s pretty freaking wild that we’re playing some of our best music ever these days, but I can’t help but think it’s because the things I’m talking about here. Gratitude

Super proud of and grateful for my buddy Billy! The Ionia Freak Fair was a beautiful celebration of music and community, love and overcoming hardships. Sure, he is a monstrous musician, but more importantly Billy is a wonderful and joyous human. I am once again filled with extreme gratitude as we wrap our 7th official Rhythm and Sails @rhythmandsails trip in the Grenadine Islands.

I am so proud of what we have created… it’s is truly and honestly the best music and travel adventure of planet earth.

Yes, it may look like a great party from the outside, but it is SO much more... year after year, guest after guest tell us that these trips are soul quenching, spirit restoring and life changing for them (see the excerpt from an email from one of the guests this year so you know I’m not just blowing smoke!)

I want to thank my partners @dcquigley and @partythor , all of the musicians that trusted me enough to join us this year, our astoundingly hard working crew of captains, first mates, chefs, medics… the badass photo and video and production team, all of local island homies that support us and … of course, all of our guests for being so cool, trusting and willing to believe the hype and open their hearts, turn up their fun meters and join the R&S family.

I’m back in the real world today, but I’ll carry the love from these trips with me forever and onward.
See y’all next year!
