A NIGHT OF MAGIC AND ENCHANTMENT yep, me and Emily (and special guests of course) are playing a show!
To celebrate this, I will send anyone who buys a ticket TODAY a vinyl copy of our album Gravity. This is a really special record for us and I would love to put a copy in your mailbox. Just message me your address, and it’s a done deal. ✌️ by @andplsf

We’re excited to share that the Garfield Park Neighbors Association, Big Car Collaborative, and Big Car co-founder and creative director Andy Fry have received a Public Art for Neighborhoods Grant to restore the Welcome to Garfield Park mural, thanks to support from the City of Indianapolis via the Indy Arts Council!

Fry designed and illustrated the mural in 2012 through a collaborative design process with the neighborhood led by Executive Director Jim Walker and the Big Car team. Since then, the mural has become a notable symbol of our Garfield Park neighborhood. Big Car, which has worked in the neighborhood since 2011, raised all of the funds for the original mural and donated the staff time to get it done.

A large group of neighbors both offered input on the themes and content of the mural and helped paint it before the Big Car crew installed the mural on Suding’s Hardware at Shelby Street and Raymond.

Stay tuned for information about volunteer opportunities for neighbors to again join us in painting this beautiful gateway to our community! 🎨

We’re all super excited about a very special First Friday musical performance: The Academy is playing a reunion set at about 7:30 pm on Oct. 4 at @tubeartspace !!

Originally formed in 1995, The Academy has been making synth pop and dance rock since the days of grunge. They are reuniting for their first show with the original lineup (Andy and Chris Fry, formerly of Margot & the Nuclear So and So’s, and Mike Rutz) since 2004.

It’s free to attend along with visiting the incredible, building-wide art exhibition by @elisaharkins

Also, of note, Andy is one of @bigcarpix ‘s co-founders and creative director who has given the organization its look!

I just wanted to say happy bday to a very special human being @emlyw who I love with all my heart and who inspires me to do everything a little bit better although you might not think so from this video. This is an excerpt from a song I wrote for her that I hope will be on the next @thestraysparks album. We shall see! by @andplsf

At @bigcarpix we’re wrapping up 2023 with a fundraiser for our next transformational project on the @tubeartspace campus — fixing up the outdoor area along Bean Creek that you see in this illustration by incredible artist and Big Car cofounder @andplsf

This will be a restorative space for socializing and enjoying art and nature.

If you’d like to help us meet our $50,000 match from @ihcda_homebuyer via @patronicity before January 13, please make a tax deductible donation at http://patronicity.com/waterworld (link in bio)

Happy holidays!

Many of you have asked, what is my showering style? So I finally have a video for you. Thanks also to my mates @the_pink_eagles @dmonet7 @vessruhtenberg for helping to make this soundtrack to clean your mane. Between @thestraysparks and Pink Eagles I’ll be releasing many tracks in 2023, hope that’s ok with you! by @andplsf
