Finally getting around to sharing one of my biggest career highlights to date. This month I got the opportunity to lead the makeup team for the @guggenheim @nickcaveart
@jackcaveinc “The Color Is… I’MPOWER” presentation, a part of the Nick Cave: Forothermore exhibit during New York Fashion Week. It was the most incredible day with an incredible team. Working closely with Nick and Jack to create makeup looks that made their vision come to life was a dream come true. I have been craving more meaning, purpose, and art in the work that I do, and being a part of a project with such a strong message and representation of Black Queer artists was an honor. This collection is brilliant, and it left me feeling moved and inspired. If you have the opportunity, please take the time to visit the Guggenheim before this exhibit closes in April!! Thank you to my team @skininthebigcity @lindsaykastuk and @bamikeogunrinu 🖤 I couldn’t have executed such strong work without you. Thank you to the beautiful models we worked with, your enthusiasm and energy had a profound impact on me and the glam team. Thank you to the team at the Guggenheim and Nick + Jack for trusting me to lead such an important presentation. This will be a highlight in my career for years to come 🖤🖤🖤

BTS with @sinforvictory and @reignofdynasty at the @guggenheim last week for Sin Wai Kin’s “the story changes the body changes (repeating).” It was such an honor to get to execute Wai Kin’s original makeup design for such a meaningful piece of art. Thank you @christinecirker for putting me up for this project. This was one of the most magical nights I’ve had to date! 🦋

Scenes from my 32nd birthday party ✨ A Wizard of Oz themed inner child healing open mic night that was beyond magical. A younger version of me really needed this party, and so I threw it for her. There was poetry and music, laughter and tears! Me and some of my favorite performers and friends in the Twin Cities came together to listen, share our hearts, and hold space for the little ones in us. We hold the key to our own healing, and the 4 year old in me who had a Wizard of Oz party that no one showed up to is forever changed. I showed her that she has reciprocal friendships that show up for her and love her! A group of people that inspire her with their art and their vulnerability. Connections that have space for her, who see her, hear her and value her for who she is. Thank you to all my sweet friends who helped me rewrite the narrative that the wounded 4 year old me had written, thank you @imalexcited for capturing such beautiful photos of the evening, and thank you @presentcompanyanalog for providing such a safe space to celebrate and heal! If your inner child is telling you to do something, no matter how crazy it sounds, just do it!! 🤍 by @andramaejohnson

Extra! Extra! Read all about it!! Look mom, me and Mick from @presentcompanyanalog made the Sunday paper!! I was interviewed to talk about our recent Hair & Makeup Jam, and my experience as an artist with the rise of technology and AI. In today’s world being present in community is more important than ever, and I have found that in Present Company!! Collaboration and alignment with artistic folks that share values is so cool, and I couldn’t be more grateful to be apart of this movement 😎🖤

My beautiful bride bestie @taytor.tottt and @yooperbeagledad on their wedding day 🤍 As her makeup artist, I focused on barely there fresh skin (with freckles poking through!!), a neutral defined eye, a subtle peachy flush and a copper toned lip to match her jewelry! ✨
