Jayne and Eric’s wedding day was a masterclass in planning the perfect celebration for yourselves as a couple 👌🏼✨

From getting ready together, to both wearing shades of blue (which is one of their ‘couple colors’), to the 10+ musical performances throughout the day - every detail was thought out, and each decision was intentional to reflect who they are 🩵🧡

I can't believe I get to gather this room of wonderful people. People come here to listen, and encourage eachother, who come here to tell stories and share some of the deepest parts of themselves.

I love this night so much.

Thank you to the beautiful community with me at @thefirstdraftmpls

🎪 La commedia è iniziata! 🎪

Opening night of Pagliacci is finally here and I am bursting at the seams with excitement! …literally. I split a side panel in my Act 2 corset during our FDR…ribs were EXPANDED, let me tell you! 🤡

Huge shoutout to the amazing @mnopera costume shop for making me look and feel my best (and for occasionally stitching me back in - sorry about that!). I’m especially grateful to Molly, whose exceptional care began long before I even set foot in Minnesota. Thank you for making sure I feel like myself in this character.

To my MUA Andra: thank you for sharing your beautiful energy and talent (and fabulous thrifted earrings), and for the support I felt extend far past my time in your chair. I adore you! 🚕🍎

This cast is incredible. Fabulous singers and genuinely wonderful, down-to-earth people. Not to mention the stellar orchestra under the baton of @maestro.c.franklin, beyond belief talented dancers/supers, top-tier adult and youth choruses, and a superhero stage management team supporting us every step of the way. I couldn’t think of a better place to make such an important role debut.

As it turns out, I’m much better at exceeding my own expectations than I am at setting them. More to say after the final curtain, but for now: Nedda’s story is my privilege to tell - and my goodness, how I’m enjoying the process of proving myself wrong.

Can’t wait to share her with you.
