‘In the memory police, the protagonist’s friend
‘R’ does remember things and the names belonging to them. R guards the objects that
have disappeared, and he believes they hold the
key to the memories lost. He asks the protagonist to keep some with her, to look at them and touch them and analyse them, firmly believing that their nature will reveal itself. I am reminded of someone telling me that some objects simply have a ‘thing power’. Theorist Jane Bennett coined this term; she acknowledges that material and objects are not passive. According to Bennett, it is “not a world of subjects and objects, but of various materialities constantly engaged in a network of
relations”. Things are active and are constantly
doing something. A thing has agency. It acts
upon us. In that way, they hold their true name
for everyone to see. Nevertheless, though the

Having asked different artists to use the car as a carrier of an artistic intervention, we pushed 5 cars, as moving sculptures from garage to garage to celebrate la Fête des Garagistes. At each participating garage we stopped for a little intervention and gave the calendar as a gift.
The Parade des Portes Bagages consists of “Voyage Voyage” on a Saab by Amber De Meulenijzer @ambermeulenijzer , “Archives Parallèlles” on a Mazda 2 by Andrea Kerstens @andrea.ymk , “A Road Movie” on a Volkswagen Polo by een-twee @een_twee_one_two , “Dessin de Voiture avec Pierre” on a Fiat Panda by Atelier de l’Enjoliveur in collaboration with the neighbourhood @atelier_de_l_enjoliveur , “Radio Enjoliveur (temporary mobile DIY radio from the trunk of a car) on a Renault Chlio by YLIAM @yliamsk7 featuring Idris Kromah @idris.kromah .

'In Shadow Archive (2025), silhouettes and perspectives merge organically. A collection of cut-out shapes, as if pealed off straight from a sticker sheet, are naively placed and stick to another surface. Irises, shells, and statues of goddesses merge into new forms. In an interplay between positive and negative forms, Shadow Archive plays with the tension between the recognizable and the abstract, between what remains left of these symbolically charged forms and the new forms that appear.' 🕳 by @andrea.ymk
