Show of hands time! Who wants to do a spooktacularly special scrappy event with a wonderfully whimsical and witchy class using my “The Witches Haunted Garden” papercrafting collection this October?! I know it’s kinda last minute but I had this great idea to do a Practical Magic themed event and class using my collection and I need to know who is interested! I need at least 15 students/participants, so let me know which of you crafty witches would like to join me this October for some fun scrapping, lovely yet spooky ambiance, and maybe some Midnight Margaritas too!!! The date is TBD but it will be in mid to late October and most likely starting in the late afternoon/evening. I’m still looking for a venue but I have some ideas and I’m super hexcited! If you have any preferences for date or venue, let me know. It will be in Southern California for sure though. And thank you guys so much for your support! I know I have been MIA lately — it’s because my health has been so awful (ah the life of a disabled baddie strugggling with chronic illness/chronic pain)…but I’m so looking forward to getting back into the crafty swing of things — especially for my fave Holiday season — Halloween!!! Happy Pride!!! Been meaning to post some new fun art myself for Pride (and I’m def going to), but in the meantime, here are some pieces that I love right now that I’ve found on social media recently. (@blcksmth , @lukejohnmatthewarnold , @bookdragonstitchery ) 😃 I love seeing all the Pride posts! This month, let us all remember to be truly kind to one another — and that means not just tolerance, but words and actions to help each other — especially those who are marginalized. We need to reach out to our queer loved ones and neighbors now more than ever and make sure they are doing okay with their mental health and we need to protect one another from the cruelty and hate and bigotry that has been escalating more and more in this country lately!!! God bless all our LGBTQ+ Americans right now and I’m so sorry so many of you are having to face such cruelty and hatred and inhumane propaganda and laws right now (especially in red states)!!! God is Love AND Love is Love AND God doesn’t make mistakes — meaning you are who you are in your soul (the packaging is just meant to be a reflection of that) — God sees you for who you truly are in your heart and soul and LOVES you for yourself!!! And don’t let anyone fool you — Godself is non-binary as God is both male and female and neither!!! I really don’t know where to even start. I guess, first, Chinga La Migra! F*** ICE! This country is built on the backs of immigrants and ICE is an abomination and is monstrously ripping its way through our democratic republic — tearing it and our country and our people to shreds. I’m sick of it. The evil is absolutely heartbreaking and if you don’t feel the same…where is your heart? Did you lose it? Did you not have one to begin with? How can people condone what is happening?! Second, I have been meaning to post, but I’ve been overwhelmed by everything that is happening right now in the U.S. I had wanted to do a #dresslikeanagday2026 post, but I just didn’t feel up to it. And then I wanted to make some art to work through and express how I’m feeling right now and post that — but I didn’t feel up to that either. I know everyone is going through a lot right now. These are such horrific times we are living in. I want to be helpful. I want to do so much. But I also, in truth, feel like I cannot even breathe. I can’t sleep. I’m scared all the time. The pain. The pain from my CRPS condition is flaring so badly…it’s excruciating. Everything hurts. And my heart hurts. I keep crying. I can’t seem to regulate. I’m autistic and I feel like I’m feeling everything and it is so overwhelming & overstimulating and it feels like I’m suffocating. I know there are much more important things going on right now. I’m sorry to complain. I just needed to be honest. I hate what’s going on. The injustice of it all. I pray for Good and for Pretti. I don’t understand the cruelty. God bless my Latino community. And my disabled community. And God bless all that have morals and compassion and who are standing up and speaking out for what is right. God help all of us! Don’t know what to say except, we need to all stand together for what is right. We need to use our empathy and compassion and all our righteous anger and extreme sadness over what is happening in this country to move towards justice and a brighter future. I think some people are finally waking up and looking past their privilege. I think some people are opening their eyes and waking up to the dark reality of this regime. And while I know a lot of us are exhausted…we cannot give up. We need to do whatever we can, however seemingly small, to move forward. We have to hold onto hope and unite together in solidarity. We have to stay strong and speak up. We need to keep speaking out, protesting, recording, sharing, posting, making calls, voting, blockading, boycotting, peacefully and civilly disobeying, praying, pushing, marching, preaching, hoping, helping, believing! We need to keep on however we can! Well, it’s been a rough day…in a rough week…in a rough year…lol! But I am so thankful for my amazing hubby, Ryan, and my amazing Service Doggy, Pastel!!! They really fill my heart each day with so much love and joy!!!
