She's done - loosely based on an early photograph of Marilyn Monroe, but she's morphed somewhat into someone else. by @andreacolesart

Work in progress, based on some photographic images of an iconic woman! Turning into my own interpretation of her though, which I'm enjoying... by @andreacolesart

Just started this one today, so a work in progress for now. I love this stage, so many possibilities and I'm just pushing paint about. Tomorrow brings some more choices and the possibility of wrecking it all! by @andreacolesart

Some images from a truly wonderful day. I'm very lucky to teach two incredible adult art groups in central Birmingham. These ladies and gentlemen are fun, fearless and try out every idea that I throw at them! We had an incredible joint exhibition at Lightwoods House in the marquee by the Shakespeare garden yesterday. The sun shone and the public came and loved it. Thank you everyone for making it so special. by @andreacolesart

Delighted to say that my large painting 'Burst' has sold at the lovely nook gallery exhibition 'Flora'. Still a few days left to visit. Thank you to my (mystery) buyer. Supporting artists is a wonderful thing and much appreciated.

👀 COME SEE 👀

A year's worth of creativity, curiosity, and experimentation... all under one roof for one day only!

Over the past year, the wonderful art groups at Lightwood House and Quinborne, guided by the incredibly talented @andreacolesart , have explored so many different techniques, pushed ourselves out of our comfort zones, and discovered new ways of seeing and creating.

Now it's time to bring it all together.

🗓 Sunday 12th July 2026
📍 Lightwood House Marquee
🕦 11.30am – 3.00pm

From expressive portraits (including our rather eye-catching eye project 👀) to a whole range of exciting work created throughout the year, there'll be plenty to discover.

Whether you're an art lover, looking for inspiration, or simply fancy a lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon, we'd love to see you there.

Come and support your local artists, celebrate creativity, and perhaps even leave feeling inspired to pick up a paintbrush yourself.

See you there! 🎨✨
