It’s all narratives… they show us two different (each valid) sides of the story and then leave us to fight amongst eachother while they profit. Don’t fall for the game anymore! Stop being controlled by your emotions. The political system is a parasitic one, and it preys on emotional disregulation and ego.
Cognitive dissonance is not specific to party. We all are affected by the programming we’ve received and until we start to see through the illusion we’ve been fed, nothing will get better. Question everything, even your own beliefs 💯
They have to divide us in order to keep the system running. It literally doesn’t work without division. So just shut off your TVs and give everyone a hug. by @andreamk3

I think I found a new best friend…. first time using gouache paints and I love it!!! How did I never try this before?! I feel like it’s so much easier than acrylic, way less messy, and just a really nice type of paint 😻 I’m kind of in love!

Just kinda making up words with chords in the moment to express feelings. The words are so far from perfect and so is the singing as well as the chords but I still feel like I can feel the feelings and one of these days I think an actual song will come out of this process and I think that is exciting, even if I’m the only one who ever hears it. It’s just that we can mix emotions with physical movements and witness art forms take shape through you.. a part of the human experience too often taken for granted. I love singing, playing and creating and I’m realizing how life changing it is once you start really caring about your art bc in order to even get into the creative space you need to have such strong boundaries around your lifestyle, what you will and will not allow into it (mentally, physically, spiritually emotionally) It takes a lot of fine tuning but the more I tap into my what my soul needs, (instead of what society tells me I need) the more that the music and art comes out effortlessly and so I know this is the right path bc it just feels so perfect here, like finally arriving home after a long bad vacation

Sharing it is scary, but forces me to grow in abstract ways that are hard to explain.

It’s nice to get past the programming that you need to look, or sound a certain way in order to be considered worthy

And I wish as a culture it were more accepted to play and sing and create regardless of your level of talent. It’s just fun to express yourself creatively and then share it with others 🧚‍♀️ I wish we all would do it more

A new old painting I’ve been working on 🌸

I think I want to start keeping track of what was going on in my life when I worked on certain art…

I’ve been in stuck in some kind of a meloncholic state the past 2 months since solar eclipse. (Better now) but I think the intensity of the increasing sun kinda burns my system ⚡️I end up scattering my energy and kinda freaking out mentally lol it’s hard to get anything done or concentrate on one activity at a time

I was denied a scholarship to be in the local art fair 💔really thought I’d get one! it’s been a big dream of mine… I thought this would be my first year 😭 the fair happened right outside my work where I wait tables, so that felt ironic and sad. I was originally not gonna tell anyone about it, but I decided that was silly. So here I am telling everyone 🤣 feels good to heal the shame. Idk why I take things so seriously anyways. I’m like the most and least serious person at the same time.

After finding out I didn’t get the scholarship, I stopped painting. I decided my art was a pointless waste of time… a delusional dream of an activity that meant nothing to anyone.. what is the point?!

Then one day, during one of my mental freak outs, instead of drinking I decided to pick up this old painting, bring it outside and start working on it.

I finally felt calm and remembered why I love art so much. It connects me back to myself. It grounds and calms my mind. It channels the intense feelings out and into a physical creation✨

Oh and I also gave myself bangs myself one night after a couple drinks 😂 cut a lot of my hair off!!

It’s a lot of yard work for one girl to keep up with!

Somehow going on my 4th year of owning this house and only just now finally starting to get in the rhythm of things… it took me 2 years to even get comfortable with my decision of buying it as well as adjusting to living alone for the 1st time ever and being alone most of the time. I hated at first but suddenly I’m finding out that I love it 😻

Now my focus has been on learning to stay in the rhythm of the seasons and to find a rhythm and flow in my life that had never really been there before.

I am realizing I have a low threshold for too-much-stuff-going-on-at-once and I need ALOT of down time to settle into a more comfortable routine. Although it’s truly the best thing I could be doing for myself, I find myself having to explain to people quite a bit that there’s nothing wrong, just really in some kind if liminal space of figuring myself out ❤️✨

I am in cocoon mode while I learn a new way of life 🦋
