There is so much on the internet about Burning Man, and I wanted to share my experience here in case it illuminates or inspires people to go who may not otherwise..

The second largest city in Nevada gets built for one week. A city that is rooted in love, creativity, complete acceptance, and weirdness. The creativity is unlike anything anywhere else in the world. It actually often doesn’t even make sense. It completely expands your mind. People spend millions of dollars creating art pieces that exist for a week with no return on investment. It’s all for the art and the love.

At Burning Man, you can be whoever you want. Every version of you is not only accepted but also celebrated.

The weather is hard. The conditions are hard. But its what makes the experience. You’re truly in surrender to mother nature and you learn to enjoy and dance in it, no matter if its a pitch white out or if its raining. Honestly my favorite moments happened during the white outs where I couldn’t see 4 feet in front of me. It felt like it cleansed my spirit.

Because so many people come together to create and give their magic to the playa, there is more god like moments and synchronicities per square foot than anywhere else in the world. It’s profound and teaches you so much about having trust and faith in the universe.

Oh and the parties.. multiple times I’d be at a party and have a moment and think “this has to be the greatest party on the planet”. It’s surreal.

The culture at Burning Man teaches you to be more open, more in surrender, to exist from a place of purity and of love.

This was my second burn and I get why they call it the burn. Its because it burns away previous versions of you to make room for new versions of you. As a friend said, its the best self development experience there is. The growth that comes is life changing.

It’s worth all the effort, struggle, money that it takes to go. If you have any curiosity about it, just go. I feel truly lucky we get to exist in a time where Burning Man exists.

Ps. If you’ve lost anyone, the temple is the most cathartic place of grieving I’ve ever experienced. Its an important part of BM. Very very special. by @andreherd

2025 was a year of extreme uncertainty for me. I quit my job at the end of 2024 without any real plans + I didn’t have a permanent home. I knew it was going to be a year of constant leaning into extreme discomfort and uncertainty..

And because of it I learned some life changing lessons: I learned that true magic lies in the uncertainty. I learned that fear is a signal of truth. I learned that without risk & putting yourself out there, there is no winning and no impact. I learned action is the solution to most problems, even if the action is uncertain. I learned (as I have before) that saying yes to adventure always brings big growth. I learned that the best thing a human can do is be their most authentic self and live in their truth. I learned that home is wherever your people are. I learned that creation is the most important extension of self. I learned that selflessness beats selfishness but you first have to be selfish in order to be selfless. And finally, that you can always choose joy & curiosity over fear.

All in all 2025 was the best and biggest year of my life. Filled with the most challenge & the most adventure (Italy, London, the Amazon in Brazil, Banff, many NY trips, and more).

Who knows what 2026 holds, but I’ll be bringing all these lessons with me and I can’t wait for more 🌅✨ by @andreherd

Let me tell you about my dad.. he passed away 2 months ago to the day on January 28th. Born in 1940, his name was Dale. He spent his life writing novels & short stories, surfing, and raising his 3 sons. His perspective was like no other. He saw the beauty and the absurdity in everything. He loved life. He loved the mundane. He was a simple man. He was content. He showed up. He was present. He was brilliant. He was kind. He was grounded. He was charming. And most importantly, he had the biggest heart.

He loved Bob Dylan and Ernest Hemingway. He always had a book in his hand and a song in his head. And was always mine and my families biggest champion.

He fought till the end and even in his last moments, he was teaching me. Thank you dad for showing me what a good life lived is and what being a great father looks like. Theron, Tommy and I won the lottery to have you as our dad.

Dad I love you. We miss you. And I certainly hope there’s good surf up there 🤍

One of the great adventures of my life. Spent 2 weeks in the heart of the Amazon in Brazil. Seeing into the lungs of our planet, meeting indigenous chiefs & villages, learning about our environment and the current trajectory we’re on, dancing more than I ever have, meeting and spending a week with a 100 brilliant change makers, and creating memories that will last a lifetime.

My biggest takeaway is feeling like its more important than it ever has been to rid of the mentality of “taking over” and move into a “take care” mentality. If we take care of our planet, our people, and of our selves, then we can slowly fix a lot of the problems of our time. A mentality of reciprocity was talked about a lot from the Chiefs as their hope for humanity. I’ll do my best to play my part.

Thank you to the #wowitsnow @dybrkr @insiderexpeditions fam for putting together once in a lifetime excursions to the edges of the earth. @love.radha @eliclarkdavis @mycaptaincarl @made_of_star_stuff_ taken in Amazon, Brazil by @andreherd

Bittersweet day. Today marks my last day at @artistpg. I’ve been at the company almost 5 years. We launched a label together 4+ years ago with 0 artists and to have been part of the growth over those years has been a journey of a lifetime. Very grateful for @mikecaren, the whole team, and all the artists that put their trust & faith in us. All are my family.

Am excited to embark on my next chapter which I’ll share more about later but for now going to sit in the gratitude I have for my experience here. Hope everyone has the most relaxing holidays.

To a great year ahead 🙏🏻❤️ taken in APG by @andreherd

Story time: 4 years ago I joined a mens group. It was a group of 7 guys and we met every week on zoom during & after the pandemic. It was my introduction to this type of self development work. Needless to say, it not only got me through the pandemic but pushed me to grow.

We stopped that group after a year & a half and then about a year ago one of the original guys @nayefzarrour started a new one. He asked me to join, and I got to meet a new batch of incredible men. All of us are different ages, in different stages, different industries, & have different backgrounds. All are guys I massively look up too.

We planned a retreat for ourselves this past weekend in Colorado. It was the first time I got to meet most of them in person after almost a year of zooms. Besides the constant laughter, It was one of the more connected, insightful, impactful weekends I’ve had. We all got to learn from each other and grow as leaders and as men. I genuinely feel I have a group of brothers that I can count on, grow with & become the best versions of ourselves with.

I highly recommend this type of self development work - if anyone has any questions or is interested, happy to point you in the right direction! taken in Aspen, Colorado by @andreherd

I’ll tell ya.. when in doubt, take the trip. Go see parts of the world you’ve never seen. Did a few days in Lisbon with one of my best friends and then a few days in Porto solo which was sooo soulfully refreshing. This is now my 4th year of some form of solo travel. I find so much magic when I do it bc it forces me to listen to my gut/intuition every step of the way. From food to people to stumbling across silent disco dance parties haha. Feeling immensely grateful to be able to do this 🙏🏻 taken in Porto, Portugal by @andreherd
