First warmup in the books!

This is something Ive wanted to do for a few years now. Aside from having the opportunity to choreograph for a stage, the main goal was to dance with both old and new friends that have been a part of my dance journey at some point.

Shoutout to every single person that rocked with Benchwarmers. Whether you were on that stage with me this year, or you said yes in the past but couldnt do it this time, thank you!

Last but not least a Huge thank you to UFP for letting ya boy get one in. The energy was amazing and I had fun up there 👍🏽

With the FOUNDER OF HIP HOP @officialdjkoolherc

Herc pioneered the technique behind the break beat at a school party his sister Cindy (left) organized to get people out dancing. It worked. He changed global music & culture forever.

He shared with us that the culture is to be shared by all people, a representation of racial unity and peace.

A reminder from the source that hip hop was never meant to have borders.

A legend & inspiration. KNOW YOUR HISTORY.

Thank you @usdanarts for the opportunity and friendship.

Meet ANDREI | Company Dancer
•••••••••••••
☛ Andrei is a dancer/choreographer born and raised in New Jersey. His dance journey started with Breaking at the age of 4. Soon after, he was introduced to battling and freestyling, which has had a large impact on his style today. In 2012, Andrei joined the NJ dance community, adding choreography and stage performance to his arsenal. Since then, he has been a part of competitive hip-hop dance teams such as @thewannabesnj , and @projectd_nj , and additionally serving in roles like dance captain and instructor.

☛ Andrei joined IMGE in 2016, during their first-ever performance as a collective. He was drawn to IMGE’s physical storytelling and real impact on people. Through the years, Andrei has performed on stages such as New Victory Theatre, Alvin Ailey, Red Bull Stadium, and more.

☛ Andrei can’t remember a time when dance wasn’t his primary mode of expression. Through every phase of life, dance continues to be with him. In addition to dance, Andrei is entering the tech field in cyber security.
