Brynne walking down the aisle with her father and grandfather is one of the most beautiful moments I’ve ever captured. I was moved while filming it, and I still feel it every time I return to these images.
 This wedding reminded me how beautiful my job can be. The love in their families, the beautiful words in their vows. There’s something so deeply human about getting a glimpse into someone else’s life—to be so close to their most intimate moments, to witness their joy and vulnerability. Being trusted to turn those moments into something they’ll cherish for a lifetime means everything to me.
 There was a tenderness to their day that shaped the whole film. It needed room to breathe. Over the years, I’ve learned to let the feeling of each wedding guide my editing. Rather than impose a style on a couple, I listen and observe what’s already there. And there was so much here! I want my couples to recognize themselves in their film, and sometimes, in the process of capturing their story, I discover something new in myself too.
 The family’s garden was masterfully decorated with @tulipinadesign flowers, while @piperandmuse designed the reception tent with such thoughtfulness.
 This was also my second wedding alongside @josevilla . When I first worked on this film, I was still finding my voice. Jose’s imagery inspired me to learn and understand color grading so much deeper. Recently, I returned to this film and regraded everything from scratch—bringing all I’ve learned since back to these special moments. What a beautiful journey!
 Brynne and Austin, thank you for trusting me with something so precious.

Perfect is the enemy of emotion!

Now hear me out! We all want the perfect wedding. The perfect reel on our instagram.

And we keep comparing ourselves to everything we see online. But I think it’s a trap.

For years, I believed a wedding film should look like reality. So I chased the cleanest, most perfect image I could make.

I kept hitting a dead end. Cameras and post-production got so good that everything looked overly clean.
Overly polished. I didn’t even like my own colors.

Then I traveled all the way to Prague for an IMAX 70mm screening of The Odyssey, and it hit me. The grain. The flicker. The colors. Everything felt so organic. So honest. That’s what I‘ve been missing.

I’ve found that chasing perfect in cinematography makes things cold. Distant. Overly polised. Compare any modern digital film to a 90’s film, and you’ll feel it.

That’s why some of the biggest directors are shooting, printing, or emulating film again. And so am I.

I think we’re ready to embrace imperfection in cinematography again!

I spent over 200 hours on this wedding film. And It got 60 likes. Funny enough, Instagram even warned me: It’s over three minutes, so it won’t be shown to new people.

I posted it anyway.

This film holds three days, hours of speeches, and a lot that never made it into the teaser.

Now don’t get me wrong, I love a beautiful teaser! But some moments only mean something once you’ve spent a little time with the people in them.

Take any movie trailer and compare it to the film.

This is the work I want to get booked for. So it belongs here - no matter how it performs.  And I feel like we’re losing substance on Instagram if we don’t also make room for the actual work.

Oh, and if you wonder why it took over 200 hours — that’s a story for another time

A string quartet playing Sigur Rós as Julia walked down the aisle. I’ve loved their music for as long as I can remember, and I never expected to hear it at a wedding ceremony in the Bahamas.

Two and a half years ago, as a German-based cinematographer, I filmed my first American wedding. In the Bahamas. With @josevilla, @tulipinadesign and @piperandmuse. I thought this must be a dream, and I knew I’d never forget that feeling!

Working alongside Jose sharpened my taste and helped me find my own style along the way. I flew home with a different eye than the one I had arrived with.

The film sat on a drive for over two years while my approach to color continued to evolve. A few weeks ago, I finally felt ready to return to it. I opened the project again and regraded the entire film from scratch. The film remains exactly as it was—the only thing that has changed is the color.

It’s 2026, are we ready for seven minutes of glorious, full-width 16:9—right here on Instagram? I couldn’t keep this film from you any longer!

It was an absolute honor to document @taimarbc and @lucaberri ’s intimate wedding against the stunning backdrop of Lake Como.

From the historic villa of @passalacqualakecomo to the centuries-old Church of San Martino and a boat ride across the lake, every part of the day felt rooted in the beauty and history of a place they are fortunate enough to call home.

With only their closest family present, the celebration felt deeply personal and warm. A beautiful reminder that meaningful moments rarely need much more than the right people in the same place.

For many, Lake Como is a destination. For @taimarbc of @lakecomoweddings and @lucaberri, it is simply home.

Ahead of their larger celebrations in Puglia and high above the lake, in a centuries-old stone church barely large enough to hold their closest family, they exchanged vows surrounded by the places that have shaped their everyday life. From their home across the water, they can see the tiny Church of San Martino—a familiar landmark that now holds one of their most treasured memories.

After crossing the lake by boat, they returned to @passalacqualakecomo to celebrate with family, sharing an evening that felt less like an event and more like an extension of the life they’ve built together.

For someone who spends her days creating extraordinary celebrations for others, there was something especially meaningful about the simplicity of this one. A wedding rooted not in production, but in meaning. In family. In place. In home.

A reminder that sometimes the most unforgettable celebrations are also the most personal.

There was not a dry eye over the multi day wedding celebrations for Cory and Troy at @fsoceanclub. Here’s a sneak peek of the wedding day.
