Getting ready for bed in the middle of winter in a van with a 3 month old golden retriever. When @kickerdogmuse came into my life I was living full time in a van. It was the middle of winter and we got very close very quickly. These moments fill my great with so much love, joy, and gratitude. So many incredible adventures we had together.

#TeamBronco_Ambassador - The more time I spend discovering new and wild places, the more I believe that access comes with responsibility. Whether it’s a trailhead, forest road, campsite, or backcountry zone, how we treat these places directly impacts whether they stay open and available for the next person. That means packing out what we bring in and sometimes picking up a mess that wasn’t ours to begin with. We all want access to beautiful places like this. Being good stewards is how we help protect that access. Leave it better than you found it.

#TeamBronco_Ambassador - Sometimes adventuring somewhere new means leaving it better than you found it. A few days ago, we headed out from the @MuseRanch to explore some caves nearby. When we got to the trailhead, we found a massive pile of trash dumped right at the entrance — so much that we literally had to step over it just to get onto the trail. A few days later I loaded up the Bronco® Raptor, came back with gloves and trash bags, and cleaned it up. Places like this are a privilege to have access to. Taking a few extra minutes to pick something up, pack something out, or leave a place better than you found it goes a long way. A little behind the scenes on how I shot this night-sky timelapse ✨
This was captured on my Sony A7S III using a 15-second exposure at f/2.8 and ISO 3200.
One of the biggest keys to getting a clean timelapse is making sure everything stays completely consistent from frame to frame. I lock everything off manually — shutter speed, aperture, ISO, white balance, and focus. If any of those settings are left on auto, the camera can make small changes throughout the sequence and you’ll end up with flicker, exposure shifts, or focus changes in the final timelapse.
The other piece of gear that has become absolutely essential for me is a lens heater. I’ve had several night timelapses completely ruined because moisture or condensation built up on the lens halfway through the shoot. The lens heater gently keeps the glass warm enough to prevent fog and dew from forming, which is especially important when you’re leaving the camera outside shooting for hours.

It’s a pretty simple setup, but locking everything down and controlling moisture can be the difference between coming home with an awesome timelapse and realizing the entire night was a bust.

There’s nothing worse than the feeling of not knowing where your dog is — running through every worst-case scenario in your head and wishing you could rewind the clock.
After losing track of Kicker recently while we were on a trail run, that feeling hit way too close to home.
That’s a big reason I’ve been using the @halocollar. Out here at the Muse Ranch, we have 60 acres and a whole lot of room for Kicker to explore. With Halo, I can create wireless boundaries right from my phone, and once properly trained, the collar uses sound and vibration cues as he approaches the boundary to let him know it’s time to turn around.
It gives Kicker the freedom to roam while helping me keep him safely within the areas I’ve set for him.
After experiencing what it feels like to have your best friend disappear, having an extra layer of protection and peace of mind means a whole lot more.

#TeamBronco_Ambassador For as long as I can remember, I pictured myself living off-grid in a little cabin in the woods, with a dog by my side. Somehow, that dream became real… just at a scale I still can’t fully wrap my head around. We recently took a massive leap of faith and moved onto an incredible off-grid property surrounded by national forest. It’s beautiful, remote, overwhelming, and way crazier than anything I originally imagined. There’s an unbelievable amount of work ahead of us, and I’m pretty sure we bit off more than we can chew… but I also think the dreams that scare you a little are usually the ones worth chasing. I’ve spent most of my life following that feeling — taking the long road, betting on big ideas, and seeing what’s waiting around the next corner. Really grateful to have @FordBronco along for this next chapter and all the adventures still to come.
