The man, the legend @jetli 李連杰

A lifelong inspiration ever since I was a young kid in the martial arts. His films didn't just entertain, they were an expression of how to apply martial arts philosophy and training to life. Everything can be kung fu 功夫. And they always made me feel so darn proud of being Chinese. Once Upon A Time In China 黃飛鴻 is one of my favorites of all time.

Excited to dive into his new book and continue learning

What up @davidsocomedy and @timchantarangsu ! Shout out to these Asian-American pioneers in the comedy and content creation space and beyond 🙌🏽

Being a fan of these guys for 15+ years, I had only one goal for the night: to DJ the @dudesbehindthefoods afterparty with the best vibes and reciprocate the same fun and joy that I have received from their work. I loved sprinkling in some of their old freestyles (s/o to Traphik) and seeing their reactions hahah. We had an absolute TIME at @hiddentigernyc @fatbuddhabar

We'll run it back again

A Coffee Date with friends. 3/14 may be Pi Day, but it's also White Day, East Asia's answer to Valentine's Day. A day to show love back to those who gave us love.

Shout out to @spotdessertbar and their new, limited edition dessert: the Coffee Date. The love was most definitely shared. taken in Spot Dessert Bar LIC by @andrew_fbl

Brandy & Monica: The Boy is Mine Tour 2025
An R&B millennial fever dream
What a show filled with superb vocals, production, storytelling, and nostalgic bliss

This is your sign to go see the @backstreetboys at the Sphere, Las Vegas. For anyone who grew up during the pop music craze that was the late 90s, listening to the radio and watching MTV's TRL waiting for your song and music video to play, arguing with your friends about your favorite members, this show was for us. A night of pure millennial fun mixed with nostalgia and modern tech, ending the night with sore vocal cords after singing our hearts out to every word

This one is special. In May 2008 I was a high school senior doing a short internship at the legendary Philadelphia International Records, home to the iconic Philly Soul of R&B. That alone would have been cool but in that same summer @mspattilabelle was reuniting with her Labelle bandmates Nona Hendryx and Sarah Dash (the original Lady Marmalade) for their first album in over 30 years. I had the chance to meet Ms Patti a few times as she spent time in the office and studio. I vividly remember picking up sandwiches from Famous 4th St Deli for her and the crew. I remember her treating everyone (including me) to dinner with delicious soul food from Ms Tootsie’s. I remember sitting in the studio and seeing her lay down her legendary vocals for 2 songs and being in awe of her raw vocal power and tone. She sounded so darn good

But what I remember most was Ms Patti’s kindness and love for everyone she interacted with. She always made sure everyone was comfortable, gave credit to others, genuinely listened, and emanated an aura of gratefulness. She was truly everyone’s Auntie. On my last day she sent me off with a blessing that I would do well in college and keep striving for great things. It was her and the Gamble-Huff team (hey @sarahannj!) that directly inspired a young bright-eyed kid to pursue a career around music. And that I could use music as a tool to truly inspire others. Because I knew that even through ups and downs, if I could take after her character and be surrounded by people like her, I would be just fine

I always told myself that if I ever met her again I would thank her and that it’s because of her that I’m now working in the business. 16 years later I finally had the chance. She may have not remembered me directly after all these years but as I told her these stories of that summer her eyes lit up even bigger and a huge smile came across her face as she gave me another big hug. And she ended our conversation by saying, “keep being a great man in music" 😭

The timing couldn’t be more fitting, we were also celebrating her 80th birthday!

Happy birthday Miss Patti, thank you for everything ❤️

Am I really a hip-hop head if I've never owned a pair of AF1s until right now? 🤔

A full circle moment in my DJ journey. Today was special. One of the coolest things that can happen as a creative is to not only meet your inspirations, but perform in front of them as well. It was an honor to spin in the same room as one of my hip-hop heroes: the Grammy-award winning, legendary producer, @realpeterock

As I was playing a fun mix of golden-age era hip-hop, Pete was grooving and came up to me and said "you're playing that good stuff!" As someone who came up listening to his classic albums with C.L. Smooth and other productions on heavy rotation, that's the only compliment I need. Thank you sir 🙏

Shout out to my team at SXM Media and the good folks over at The Trade Desk for hosting this celebration of hip-hop's 50th anniversary. Big ups to Pete, Hoop88Dreams' Shara McHayle, and SXM's own Steve Keller and Antonio Francisco for enlightening us on the genre's huge impact on diversity and inclusion by @andrew_fbl
