First met Simon on a shoot circa 2023. Been a fan for many, many years & his imagery fuelled a lot of my Outsider beats. We’d been talking for a while about a Brum pop-up for the DCMU re-issue. Me & @creme.147 got our heads together & with the help of the @beneculture lads who gave us the space, we made it happen. Great night celebrating Simon’s iconic work that ran purely on creatives, culture & community. Big thanks to @gallah_uk @_.shayk @r.ingers @lotus.sssz on the 🔊 by @andrew_smallman

On the recordings side she is a phenomenal producer, songwriter, lyricist & engineer. When we first started working together & I learned just how broad her creative palette was in the studio I knew that there’d be some special moments awaiting down the line once the right publishing partner was in place. It’s only taken me almost 18 years but I’ve finally framed this setlist. Happy 18th birthday to Back to Black. 1. Feb 22nd 2007. 17 y/o me with Amy post-show, former Medicine Bar, Custard Factory, Birmingham. 4 months after the album dropped, 8 days after she won her first Brit. Despite a super shy performance, she was sweet, funny & energetic backstage. 2. Amy’s setlist from the gig. 3. Clip from the gig ( mixed by @mark_gittins_sound ) 4. Back to Black billboard earlier this year, a few yards in front of where we took that photo. Mad. 5. Final Gallows show with @frankcarter23 on the day Amy passed, just 3 miles away from Camden at the ULU. Gallows started their set with BTB in total darkness. Whole crowd sang along. Still get goosebumps. 6. Playing a show at the former Medicine Bar (The Oobleck by then) in 2014, realising that night just how mad it was to have seen Amy play in that venue. taken in Digbeth, Birmingham by @andrew_smallman

@malevolenceriff ‘Where Only The Truth Is Spoken’ dropped a year ago. Had f*ck all time to post at the time so here’s an anniversary re-cap. big campaign to be a part of for so many reasons, and we achieved a lot, so I wanted to make sure I documented some highlights
. Alan Ford aka ‘Brick Top’. What a bloke. Said yes as soon as we reached out, took the ‘If It’s All The Same To You’ video to another level & came back for an effortless, one take IRL intro at the Brixton headline show (& stayed to watch the whole set side stage) which ended up going viral across several clips. 1/1 custom World of Warcraft x Jackson collab guitar for @konviktmlv This was months in the making & was unveiled across Download weekend during the lads’ secret set. Big thanks to @laurenashlinghill & @timhillierbrook Built a 🌍 footwear network; Up There Store (AUS), One Block Down (IT) & Size (UK) kept the lads laced up in the swoosh throughout. Any ‘M’ in any logo of any brand or media partner became a target. This one was a highlight. First time @metalhammeruk had ever let a band modify their logo in 4 decades. HMV got a facelift too. 3rd collab with @northernmonk - love working with these guys. They let us come in & take over their gaff in NQ for the Manny pop-up. Big shouts to @scorp1 & the @monstermusic crew for always being down to back some mad ideas. BYOB - bring your own billboard. UK headline tour announcement in bold font. 1/1 @poga.gg x Malev case. Shouts to Felix from the team for getting this done in time for when the boys hit the road for tour. Bit of creative direction with the shooter @gumaaaax in Paris outside of the building that inspired the Air Max. Some of these shots went on to be major DSP playlist covers. Heard ‘Trenches’ played live for the first time later that day. More reloads in metal. A first for the @donprod lads who stepped out of their comfort zone & got stuck in (literally) with the ‘Trenches’ & ‘If It’s All The Same To You’ vids. The BTS shooters they brought along led to deeper, more gritty looks

1 week on from the @guilttripmhc Adidas collab & Armour of Angels album drop weekend. Genuinely an honour to play a part in bringing the incredible work the band, @brokenbenjamin & @joellling had put in over the past 2+ years to life. Whole crew came together & it was a 10/10 weekend. Queue round the block for hours. Starting 2026 on a high after what seemed like a never ending run in 2025. A lot celebrated, a lot achieved. So many memories & milestones in both my personal life & career. I never posted during the Slipknot 25th anniversary UK tour run back in December but today seemed fitting to re-cap. June 29th 1999. I can still vividly remember the moment a mate handed me the album on cassette on the school playground that year. That debut album changed my life in so many ways, even years after its initial release, and played a key part in me finding a passion in music. Watching them at the same venue I first saw them play, almost 2 decades later to the date, whilst now working for the 5B Birmingham team during the 25th anniversary world tour is a full circle milestone that I will not forget. by @andrew_smallman

Literally feels like 5 minutes ago back in 2022 that I stumbled across ‘Ladybug’ & ‘Nikes’ & was instantly blown away, and have remained blown away at every turn in the three years since; from the beats, to the stage, to the lyricism & song writing. Rachel is one of the most creative, globally thinking, positive, driven & genuinely special people I’ve ever met, in & outside of music and deserves nothing less than the world’s stage. I could go on (like I have been since that day in 2022 as many know!) but a big, big congratulations to Rach who has built the world of Ledbyher - something that is so needed in music right now - unapologetically, whilst trusting us, with her vision along the way. A big thank you also to the teams at Island & Republic for being so supportive & as passionate as we are about Rachel’s art. ‘One Summer evening, (led by her)

‘Hooligan; a violent you trouble maker’ Jaykae ft. The Streets Hooligan Respectfully, when it comes to UK Rap, only Jaykae can pull off a release like Hooligan with absolute authenticity. Great to have played a part in something so unique in creative direction & for an iconic link up. Too many memories from that day, and the weeks & months leading up to it. It was meant to piss down but (typically) it turned out to be the hottest day to date that Spring. Put 100+ casuals onto concrete wasteland under the sun, tanked up & in front of legit looking riot police & shit gets lively real quick. Loved working with @cal.bar.nes & @adult_art_club & the whole team. Watching everything slowly come to life from wired, coffee fuelled meetings spilling over small details & a 30+ page visual deck to 10ft flags, truncheon’s & converted Sprinters. Special shouts to every Villa fan I asked to come down & be a part of the shoot (Honorary shouts to @g___sum ). And to @jdshotyou the fucking sniper for capturing the chaos perfectly for us to look back on in years. by @andrew_smallman
