Breaking out of Alcatraz isn’t easy… but I made a solid run for it.
🥈 in M35–39 at one of the wildest, weirdest, most legendary races around!

Jumping off a perfectly good boat into freezing water, biking through the hills of SF, and crawling up a sand ladder — honestly, what’s not to love?

Huge thanks to coach @cesarevalera for getting me race-ready — mentally and physically — no matter how chaotic the course.

Shoutout to @megafoley, @scottytindal, and the team at @getfuelin for helping me stay fueled, focused, and cramp-free from training blocks to the final climb. Nutrition was 🔑 as always.

Everything’s bigger in Texas — including dreams coming true.
1st place in M35-39 and 3rd overall amateur at Ironman Texas!

This sport has given me so much over the years, and this race was a pretty special one to look back on how far it’s all come.

Huge thank you to my coach, @cesarevalera. Six years ago I had no idea what I was getting into with my first Ironman, and there’s no way I’d be here without your guidance, patience, and belief in me every step of the way.

Shoutout to @megafoley and the team at @getfuelin — my nutrition was dialed from start to finish, both on race day and through all the training that got me here. Couldn’t have done it without you guys.

Big weekend in wine country! Took the overall win at the AlphaWin Napa Long Course Triathlon and couldn’t be more proud of how it all came together. Grateful beyond words for the team behind me:

Back at Ironman California! Last race this year and finished with a bang! Took 3rd in my age group and 12th overall. Great way to end the season!

A massive thank you to everyone that came out to support me and has helped me come back from the crash last year! Could not have done it without all of you.

Sub 4! New 70.3 PR! Finished 3rd in my AG and 6th overall!

Finally redeemed myself at 70.3 Oregon after losing my saddle here two years ago. Great day on the course despite hail and lightning during the bike portion.

Managed to escape! Finished 2nd in my age group and 6th overall at Escape from Alcatraz! It was a fun day of racing in my backyard. Big thanks to everyone that came out to cheer! Especially @wadey335 and Rigby, who continue to support my training and racing ambitions. Couldn’t do it with out you!

Huge thanks to @cesarevalera for keeping the training plan on schedule and helping me fit in @teamf3endurance camp and some business travel!

Special thanks to @inpyn and @getfuelin for keeping my nutrition plan dialed for a race with atypical distances. I’m throwing every race edge case I can at them and they’re keeping me competitive!

“Is that all you got?” I’ve found my new race mantra. This question works on so many levels. It allowed me to laugh off the 10 minute delay I encountered when my front tire flatted at mile 20, knowing I’ve handled worse. The pushed me to find another gear as I hit mile 12 of the run knowing the other athletes were breathing down my neck. The day ended with me on the top step of podium for my age group and 5th overall. Huge thanks to my dad/sherpa for being a trooper all weekend! Thanks to @cesarevalera for helping me find my way back to fitness and the podium after my accident last fall. Thanks to @inpyn and the team @getfuelin for setting me up for success from a nutrition standpoint. First 70.3 without any cramping! And lastly thanks to all my @teamf3endurance teammates for all the cheers around the course! taken in Morro Bay, California by @andrewmartinez

Did the bike leg portion of this race 9 years ago. Never thought I’d ever do a complete triathlon back then. While the day didn’t go completely to plan, it was pretty cool to bring things full circle this weekend. 🥉 Finished 3rd overall 🥉 Big thanks to @cesarevalera for helping me get my fitness back to a place where I can be competitive. 🥈Double Silver Day 🥈Almost 6 months later and I’m back to racing! Made it across the finish line this time. Competed twice at the Stanford Treeathlon, doing both the draft and non draft legal races. Finished 2nd overall for age groupers in both races, and 1st in my age group. Big thanks to my dad for coming out to support! As always, thanks to @cesarevalera! I wouldn’t have recovered nearly as quickly without you in my corner. Thanks to @jas.chou and @dr.gdemera for coming out to cheer on @teamf3endurance! Not the kind of hardware I was hoping to come home with from the Ironman World Championships. After being first out of the water and riding well for about 90 miles, I had a close encounter with the asphalt, leading to a broken wrist and clavicle. I finally had surgery this week and am now on the mend. While the race didn’t go the way we wanted, I want to thank @cesarevalera for having me incredibly prepared for this race. I’m confident with your coaching that we’ll be able to take care of this unfinished business. Thank you too all my friends and teammates for the kind words of encouragement! What a day!!! Oceanside 70.3 was something special! 1st in my AG and 5th overall amateur! It was great to get to meet and race with so many of my @teamf3endurance teammates! You are all incredible athletes. Big thank you to my nutrition coaches at @getfuelin for helping make nutrition part of my muscle memory. While not there in person, I could feel my coach @cesarevalera on the course helping me through every moment of the race. Thank you for all the support, encouragement, and friendship. Ironman California was special to say the least. It was truly a celebration of all the hard work I’ve put into triathlon over the last few years. Lots of goals were achieved and new ones discovered. Finished 3rd in my age group, seventh overall, and qualified for the 2023 Ironman World Championship in Kona. A huge thank you goes to my coach, @cesarevalera, for making me as prepared as I was for this race. I can say with certainty that none of this would have been possible without your mentorship, coaching, and friendship. Also want to thank my coaches at @getfuelin. Practicing and executing a nutrition strategy was key to my success. I couldn’t have done it without you all! Thank you to all my friends, family, and @goldengatetriathlonclub teammates that came out to cheer or were supporting from afar! And most importantly, thank you @wadey335 for supporting me on this journey and helping me achieve my goals.
