New Project! ✨ I have wanted a roll top desk- specifically a 90s style with minimalist legs vs chunkier ones- for the longest time. I finally scored one to refinish on the FB Marketplace. Am I working on this at the expense of other projects that need to be done? Ya damn right! by @andsotogether

✨ ORC Week 4 ✨

This week of the #oneroomchallenge was all about wall shelves and up-cycling some sconces I got from @urbandesertdreams. I am so happy with the way the shelves turned out, especially against that green! 😍 it feels more homey already and I can’t wait to really go through my decor in the coming weeks. by @andsotogether

✨ORC Week 3

It’s a wrap for Week 2 of the #oneroomchallenge. All of the major living room painting is done and I ✨ love ✨ it. There are some touch ups and I may need to paint another wall, but I am beyond happy with my progress. I am most excited about this pattern wall 😍 Everyone voted white on black and it was the perfect choice. I’m not revealing the entire wall because my dining room is a hot mess, but I have a few weeks to get it clean 😅

✨ ORC Week 2

Week 1 or the #oneroomchallenge is done! If you’ve been following in my stories, week one was spend installing base cap and quarter round molding in the living room. I didn’t record most because you would have just watched me struggle with miter shears 😂

Next up is more fun stuff… painting! I plan to do my favorite color green 💚 and a hand painted pattern wall! by @andsotogether

It’s finally time for the @oneroomchallenge! Even though I did not finish my first one for Spring 2022 😅, I’m going to give it another go. I think my key this round is *planning* which I am not always very good at. I have been planning and collecting things over the past few weeks, plus I think having a set schedule for progress and accountability will help me tremendously!

Anyone else can’t wait to style their space as projects go on? It’s Week 6 of the #orcat and I’ve gotten so much done in the office. I still don’t think I’ll be *completely* done with the tasks I wanted to do by the deadline, BUT I’m happy with the progress I’ve made so far and committing to focusing on one project.

What’s been done:
✅ Patching & Re-Painting
✅ Painting Accents
✅ Wall Shelves
✅ 3D Wall Panel

Still to do:
Hang Cubbies
Pegboard

✨ Week 1-3 ✨ In case you missed it, I joined the @oneroomchallange. You probably can’t tell because I have had very slow progress, but I am determined to get it done so I can have a dedicated workspace again.

I am working on my home office and I got off to a slow start (joined late, got sick, life)! I share the space with my hubby (kids too) and I had no idea how to create a cohesive space… and I was being selfish with my lil corner 🤣. While I was patching the walls I was inspired to do his side and decided why not get it done in 8 weeks?!

My goal is to create an RGB light friendly room that looks great in the day time too! Not sure if I’ll get to install any by the end of this. Some things I’ll be doing are a partial textured 3D wall, shelving and pegboard storage.

My desk is finally done and in it’s new space! This was a great first project after having baby boy.

Next up is getting the rest of my office corner complete with some storage and organization.

Hi! I noticed some new faces and realized I haven’t really introduced myself! 👋🏾 I’m JaNisha, the face behind @andsotogether!

A little over a year ago I purchased an old house in the suburbs of Baltimore City with the dreams of making it home, and so together, my family and I are building a home and life to love. 🖤 I have always leaned into creativity and DIYing pretty much anything, then I decided why not a whole house? 🤣 My journey is definitely filled with lessons and a lot of problem solving, but I’m enjoying it and I’m so glad you’re here with me!

Hello 2022! I debated on a 2021 recap because none of my projects are 100% done, but I did spend most of the year pregnant and we got to officially move into our house.

So excited to finish up some projects and start new ones on 2022! ✨

In case you missed it in the stories. I couldn’t resist capturing the stairs one evening 😍. There are still some things to do including replacing the trim in the sides, a final clean up of the handrail before sealing and touching up the paint.

I was really worried about choosing black and even contemplated switching to thinner black metal balusters, but I’m so happy with the way it turned out! by @andsotogether
