Here's @kerrmercer making this insanely powerful performance look effortless 👏
I heard from his team recently that he'd just written an absolute belter and he wanted to get it released ASAP. So we put together a video that stripped everything bare and showcased the songwriting and performance in a single take.
So proud of how this one turned out, just look at the end result! Everyone involved absolutely nailed it!

Its been years since I last worked on a promo for Majik, but was great to step back in at the start of this new version of @majikisreal
With 'Monsters' I leaned into a dirty, layered, orange-neon, sinister set of visuals. Keeping things simple and letting the track speak for itself.

Go to @cheadsmagazine now to view the video.

Exclusive Video Premiere | ”The easy path today becomes the harder one tomorrow,” I once read — and there’s a lot of truth in that. Sometimes there comes a moment when running no longer works, even if you want it to. A point where you’re forced to stop, turn inward, and face what’s been left unresolved. To ask difficult questions. To take responsibility. And, perhaps, to choose a new way forward.

With “Monsters,” @majikisreal opens the door to that space. Taken from his upcoming EP Between Worlds, the track reflects years spent avoiding parts of himself in order to keep the peace — until that strategy quietly collapsed. “I spent years avoiding parts of myself to keep the peace, until that stopped working and I had to face patterns I’d ignored and let go of an identity that no longer fit. The song isn’t about dwelling on the past,” he shares, “but about recognising the power it can have over you and taking responsibility for change. Writing it felt like a necessary reset, a way of acknowledging what was there without staying trapped in it, and moving forward with a clearer sense of who I am.”

The accompanying video directed by @andyaaagh mirrors this confrontation with striking restraint.

Bit late as always, but here's the first half of my 2016, 10 years ago, one of the only times I could be bothered to do that 1 second a day thing for any significant length of time!
So many amazing people in this! Lots of music videos with @adamgrasso. Shows with Eliza and the Bear, anne marie, Wolf Alice, 1975 and Ellie Goulding and more. Shooting my grad film, writing my dissertation, working in Warner then moving office, shooting Snowbombing with @bignoisefilm, filming 5 star hotels with @martinjroach_dop, Secret Cinema 28 Years later. What a year! by @andyaaagh
