In three weeks from now, a decade long journey for me comes to an end with #TheFlash which has done so much for me personally and professionally. I was going through my phone today just looking at old memories and I gotta be honest, I sobbed just seeing that I somehow had the honor of meeting the man, the legend, the hero that is @grantgust and all the support he showed me and @theflashpodcast for such a long time. I don’t know how I got to be so lucky but those are memories I will cherish till the end of time as we get ready to say farewell to this show ❤️⚡️ by @andybehbakht

While #SDCC is happening as we speak, Facebook decided to remind me of one of my happiest SDCCs, and it made me remember just where my journey has gone. On Saturday, July 23, 2016, I got to attend my first big Comic-Con party as press, and it was for The CW, as I was in the third season of @theflashpodcast and still grinding as a journalist. Having had the honor of making the connections that I have with #TheFlash and the Arrowverse as a whole, this was obviously one of the geekiest nights of my professional and personal life. Having already gotten love and recognition for the podcast by legends like @grantgust and @candicepatton, chatting with @keiynanlonsdale about podcast experience, telling Carlos Valdes how Cisco Ramon has become one of the biggest Brown male character role models of all time, was unforgettable. I still remember the hugs from Grant and Candice, the gratitude Grant gave me in person about my coverage and so on, like it was yesterday. So much has happened in 10 years - both amazing things as well as traumatizing ones. I have come a long way as both a reporter, and human being in general. But The Flash was always one of those chapters that were instrumental for me - especially at times when I had people (industry and regular folks) always tell me, “You don’t belong here,” “You will never be a journalist,” “People like you don’t matter,” among many other insults that I still get to this day. I still have so much I hope to accomplish in my career and life - and seeing Andy from 10 years ago in these photos reminded me that, “You know what? I’m still here - and haters can deal with it.”Hoping everyone I know who is at SDCC are having a great; safe, and wonderful time the way I did so many years ago 💚⚡️ by @andybehbakht
