Friends, thank you for the bday wishes from near and far yesterday.

If you can do something for me:

Do someone a favor, even if they don’t deserve it.

Tip your bartender well, even if they don’t deserve it.

Be good to yourself always, even if you think you don’t deserve it.

And…come visit Braxton & Hyde, even if we got nothin’ to work on. We have beer. And an AeroPress.

Time ain’t slowin’ down.

I promise I’ll learn some new licks too. Nod to my favorite song at the end.

39. Get some. Thank you all for the birthday wishes from near and far.

This year’s lesson: The Path will [hopefully] take you down the roads you want, but it will always take you down the ones you need.

I believe I finally found that stretch of road I always needed. I’ll leave it at that for now.

I appreciate and love y’all a lot.

Side note: my mom sent me pic #2…from my 3rd birthday at our house on Braxton Rd. in Bryn Mawr, PA

My grandfather was a tremendous part of my life growing up, and that house holds the memories. He was a top craftsman. That’s why I live by the name Braxton Guitars.

Turnstile Never Enough Tour Pt. II

I thought I was just a sub, but I ended up extending my family.

Some of the most stellar humans on earth in this crew.

Truly nothing like watching this band send it fully every night.

Thank you Ms. Meg and Mr. Franz for the gift of being stoked to show up for work everyday.

And thanks to my man Chopper @chrismateer for the call.

I appreciate y’all being so kind to me and making me feel right at home. Can’t wait to do it again.

Feast your eyes on Meg Mills’, @carecharmer from @turnstileluvconnection , killer Lemon Ice Jackson American Soloist SL2 DX featuring a Floyd Rose 1500 series tremolo.

This is just a little BTS glimpse from our visit with their guitar techs Andy and Suge yesterday at the Santa Ana, California show!

Stay “locked in” because there’s SO MUCH MORE coming soon...

Hi y’all. 10 years of Braxton Guitars today.

It’s tough to put how it all makes me feel into a few sentences, but I will.

Many hours and many failures…and a few successful days to kick the losses in the ass.

My boys. Mom and Dad. Friends and customers (who are now friends) and my neighbors at Bok who are like extended family. You are all the real reason why this place is what it is, and you are a part of my identity.

My Lisa, who never gives up on me even on the toughest days, and makes sure I don’t either, is my reason to never quit, and the one who reminds me that life is beautiful, because she makes it that way.

Thank you @scoutltd — Lindsey, Liz, Lily, Kristen, and so many more — for taking a chance on me many moons ago and for keeping me afloat during the hard times.

Learning this craft has taken me around the world, but there is no place like home.

Braxton & Hyde Philadelphia Fretworks baby. Get some.

Six strings — and then some — to save the world.

Hardcore Summer.

Lots of unseen personal growth and awareness for me this season…starting to come out on the other side of things I wish I started working on years and years ago. Better and stronger than ever with more room to grow.

The best people and the best job in the world make it all possible.

Posty Co. Crew: I love y’all like crazy. What a group of bad MFs. I have a ton more photos that I still need to share.

10 years of Braxton Guitars coming up 10/01/26

For now, it’s tour time, again, and shop time come November.

Every day is an unimaginable gift, even when it seems like it’s not.

Thank you all for keeping me going every day 🎸🏴‍☠️🎸 by @andybree_

Look at this one.

She doesn’t need me in any pictures.

I’m an insufferable man because, at this point in my reckless life, I’ve learned to operate by a “checklist” to stay on the ball for things big and small (just ask her about it and look for an eye roll).

The one constant on that checklist is making sure she’s good to go. Can’t change the world, but I will try.

14 years caught up in my life, five with a ring on.

I got your six til the wheels fall off and they haul me away, LT.

Happy Anniversary. Love, AB

1949 J45 PATCH + BRIDGE

Yes we’re alive, and yes we’ve worked on some fun ones this year, so we’re gonna share ‘em!

This J45 held up surprisingly well despite having an LG-style bridge on it for…well, we don’t know how long.

The owner is a real player (and he likes his .13s) so we went all in.

Spruce patch for the top + new Brazilian rosewood bridge.

There was some debate on how much to over-size the new bridge, if at all, since the footprint was all over the place.

Since we were all a fan of its wear-and-tear, we didn’t really beef it up. But we did some tint and shellac to blend it back.

Swipe to hear some sounds.

…yes we forgot to take the wax paper out before the main pic but it looked great 🎸🎸🎸

Earlier this year, in February, we had the privilege to welcome Glen Hansard to the shop.

He was recording with Charlie Hall in Conshohocken. During the process, this 1970 Barney Kessell came into possession, and it ended up here.

We learned Glen usually likes flatwound 12s. We decided on 11s since there was some work to be done on the guitar beyond the scope of a setup. But man…did this bad boy still project and play great.

We didn’t get any pictures with Glen, but we do have this.

What an unbelievably down to earth dude he was…it’s crazy to think that he crossed the threshold into the shop, even for a moment.

Thank you, Charlie, for the chance to meet such a legend, and to let us send a guitar off with him as well.

RIP Glen Hansard, legend 🎸💙🎸 by @andybree_

Month of May.

A great one.

Hi y’all!

Just saying hello. We are good. Working away.

Some shop updates:

CALENDAR & WAITLIST
• Online Self-Booking Calendar will be closed for the rest of 2026.
• The Waitlist is ALWAYS OPEN, and that’s the best way to get in the queue for repairs or custom work.

EMERGENCY REPAIRS & INQUIRIES
• If you have a gig/studio/etc emergency, DM or email us via the website.
• If you just have a question…do the same!

TOUR & GUITARS IN SHOP
• Kyle and Andy will be in and out for the rest of the year. Current dates are posted, more TBD.
• Our shop queue will be delayed due to our schedule, but we will be working away when we’re home.

That’s it. Swipe to the end for a 1949 J45. New bridge, nut, saddle, fret dress, all that. 13s too. Perfection.

We’ll be sure to post all the cool shop and road stuff. Thanks for keep us busy!
