One of my absolute favorite new books on my pull list, If Destruction Be Our Lot!So glad I took the chance in this book, and the chance was based on just flipping through and seeing Abe Lincoln and robots, I was sold! Haha@ashcanpress and @markelijahrosenberg and taking on a wild ride of the robot driven story with the narrative being led by a robotic Abe Lincoln, all the while keeping you wondering what happened to all the people!Loving the art by @andymacdeez , it works so well with the feel of the book!And I def had to grab this awesome @rileyrossmo cover!If you find the issues, track them down and give this book a shot! 🤖🖋️ If Destruction Be Our Lot issue 1 — Original Art by Andy MacDonald#ShowcaseSunday with @the.comic.syndicate I'm showing off something I'm genuinely thrilled to own... two original art pages from If Destruction Be Our Lot issue 1 by Andy MacDonald.Not only are the pages incredible, but Andy was kind enough to include a signed preview ashcan and a signed poster with the artwork, which was such a thoughtful touch.The pages themselves are exactly why I wanted them. They capture Abe's first steps into the outside world, that sense of discovery as he leaves everything he's known behind. Then, on the following page, comes his first encounter with... well... no spoilers! 😄I've absolutely loved how this series has started. It's a wonderfully strange mix of post-human sci-fi, mystery, and heart, and it's already become one of those books that goes straight to the top of my reading pile. The world Matthew Rosenberg, Mark Rosenberg, and Andy MacDonald have created feels fresh, imaginative, and full of possibilities.Owning original pages from a series this early in its run makes them feel even more special. I can't wait to see where the story goes... and I love knowing these pages will always be part of my collection.Collector note:Original art tells the story in a completely different way. I’ve been really enjoying if destruction be our lot . It’s released by @imagecomics . It has a creative team of @ashcanpress , @markelijahrosenberg , @andymacdeez , @francesco.segala.art ,& @hassoe . It’s such a very detailed and empowering story. Seeing the emotions from the robots is a whole knew level of trying to understand the future . It breaks your heart how cruel they are to Abe but also inspires you how he never changes and wants to continue to search for humans . I’m so excited to see more into this world . I know it’s just gunna get more complex and deep 🙌 if you haven’t read this series , please do!! And if you have what’s your favorite part ? . Don’t forget to pick up issue 3 on July 15th . I’m extremely excited to have received my very first-ever comic book original art page! This is from the crazy-talented @andymacdeez.I present to you page 11 from the 1st issue of “If Destruction Be Our Lot”! First appearance of Bus Driver Bot! 😃 It came really well-packaged with a poster and an ashcan, both signed by Andy. And some of the best stickers ever that Andy also drew!It’s super fun to see all the details in the original work. As well as see how the colors and lettering further brings it all to life. I can’t wait to display this on the wall of my nerd room. if you all haven’t tried this book yet, give it a shot. IF DESTRUCTION BE OUR LOT 02 ⚙️Après un lancement mémorable, que vaut le second numéro de la nouvelle bombe SF de Matthew Rosenberg @ashcanpress et Mark Elijah Rosenberg @markelijahrosenberg chez @imagecomics ? Spoiler : l'essai est transformé haut la main ! 💥Dans le premier numéro, on laissait "Abe", notre robot habité par la conscience défaillante d'Abraham Lincoln, sur le point de quitter son dôme sécurisé. Ce numéro 02 passe à la vitesse supérieure en nous plongeant tête la première avec lui dans les Terres Désolées de l'extérieur. 🌋🧭Le voyage d'Abe prend une tournure à la fois brutale et fascinante. On y découvre un monde extérieur sauvage, peuplé de dangers inédits et d'autres machines abandonnées aux comportements imprévisibles. Ce qui frappe ici, c'est l'équilibre parfait trouvé par les scénaristes : le récit gagne en action et en tension sans jamais perdre ce ton tragi-comique unique. Les tirades désuètes et buguées d'Abe au milieu du chaos apportent une poésie absurde et touchante qui rend ce personnage immédiatement attachant. 🔩❤️🎨 Visuellement, le duo fait des merveilles. Andy Macdonald @andymacdeez s'en donne à cœur joie avec les décors extérieurs. Les paysages post-apocalyptiques sont immenses, détaillés et magnifiquement mis en valeur par la palette de couleurs de Francesco Segala @francesco.segala.art, qui donne une vraie texture à cette Terre désolée. Le design des nouvelles menaces mécaniques est hyper inventif !Si le numéro 01 posait les bases, ce numéro 02 confirme que If Destruction Be Our Lot est l'une des séries indés les plus excitantes et intelligentes de 2026.
