I'm showing off something I'm genuinely thrilled to own... two original art pages from If Destruction Be Our Lot issue 1 by Andy MacDonald.
Not only are the pages incredible, but Andy was kind enough to include a signed preview ashcan and a signed poster with the artwork, which was such a thoughtful touch.
The pages themselves are exactly why I wanted them. They capture Abe's first steps into the outside world, that sense of discovery as he leaves everything he's known behind. Then, on the following page, comes his first encounter with... well... no spoilers! 😄
I've absolutely loved how this series has started. It's a wonderfully strange mix of post-human sci-fi, mystery, and heart, and it's already become one of those books that goes straight to the top of my reading pile. The world Matthew Rosenberg, Mark Rosenberg, and Andy MacDonald have created feels fresh, imaginative, and full of possibilities.
Owning original pages from a series this early in its run makes them feel even more special. I can't wait to see where the story goes... and I love knowing these pages will always be part of my collection.
Collector note:
Original art tells the story in a completely different way. Seeing every line, correction, and brush stroke on the actual pages gives you a whole new appreciation for the work that goes into making comics.
