This just makes us sad. We knew this day was coming. For a few years now. Andy and our dad have been friends for decades. He relied on Andy for his perspective, his expertise. He still loves to stop by for a chat. And, we understand. This is not a money making venture. It’s unfortunate that we do not value agricultural land enough for a tax incentive. For common sense regulations around what a farm can do to stay afloat. For less expensive water. For the ability to pass land to the next generation without being re assessed. Perhaps our county leaders will see the value of the last sacred acres that remain in this valley. The most fertile soil in the world does not need any more virgin land turned into housing. Let’s put our focus on things that matter to our culture, our heritage, our future. In the meantime, Godspeed Andy on your next adventure. #andysorchard #valleyofheartsdelight #thankafarmer 💚💚💚 by @andysorchard

I cannot explain how excited I am about this fruit box! Andy’s Orchard is SO good! I will be trying every single last one! A little about what makes them special in their own words:

“Andy manages one of the largest private collections of stone fruits on the West Coast, growing over 250 varieties of cherries, peaches, nectarines, plums, and apricots.”

Behind every serving of jam + butter is a simple story: farmers and friends who have pruned and nurtured their orchards and berries for decades, a simple ratio of 2 parts fruit to 1 part sugar and our pleasure at taking the very best of what’s in season, capturing it at its peak to slather with joy onto a warm croissant or freshly baked baguette.

We taste every variety before purchasing cases at the market every Wednesday, and when the fruit is exquisite (as it often is), we buy as much as our small team can process. When the season is short, one of us may drive up to the farm for a quick turnaround or help plant more of what we love, like the Blenheim apricots and Persian mulberries trees we helped put in as saplings @beegreenfarm a decade ago, hoping one day to have a space to share their unmatched flavor.

This month, this all means that you’ll get to choose from a Strawberry + Black Pepper or Raspberry Cardamom jam from @tamaifamilyfarms , a family farm known for some of Southern California’s most exceptional berries, or the Cherry Rhubarb + Bay Leaf compote with cherries from @andysorchard , where rare and heirloom varieties are grown and harvest only at their peak. Don’t sleep on the Blenheim Apricot jam from BeeGreen; their season is already done and we’ve turned all 250 lbs into jam to last us until (fingers crossed) the end of summer.

Because we follow the harvest, the flavors are always changing. What you find on the counter today might be gone in a few weeks, replaced by something entirely different. It’s a small way we stay connected to the seasons, and a reminder that some of the best things are only around for a little while.

All our jams and garnishes are made with freshly harvested California fruit, topped with a thick slice of cultured and salted Vermont butter and meant to be enjoyed alongside your favorite pastry. 🍓🍑

🍒🍑 Tasting & Tour UPDATE 🍑🍒
Mother Nature sure is in a hurry this summer.
An uncommon warm spell in March seems to have caused our stone fruit to ripen as much as 3 – 4 weeks earlier than normal, which means the varieties available at our 2026 Tasting & Tour events are also different than normal.
The good news is that quality of the various stone fruits remains quite high, but some of the fruits are smaller than normal.
Older orchardists have never seen such a radical change in the timing of our local fruit harvests.

❤️June 21st Tasting & Tour ❤️
Tasting – This year’s cherry crop is extremely light and 3 weeks early! We’ll have many varieties of cherries for the tasting portion of the event. Along with apricots and other stone fruits to sample. Even some plums ! Yum !
Orchard Fruit Picking – Unfortunately we won’t be picking cherries in the orchard (they ripened too early this year). But the good news is there will be plenty of tree ripened peaches, nectarines and apricots to pick.

🧡July 5th Tasting & Tour🧡
Tasting – We’ll have a nice selection of apricots, peaches and nectarines to taste.
Orchard Fruit Picking -- There will be very few apricots to pick during the orchard tour. But plenty of other stone fruit varieties in the orchard.

💛July 18, July 26 & Aug 15 Tasting & Tours 💛
As always, there will be an abundance of outstanding fruit to taste and pick and learn about during our Tasting & Tour events. Because Mother Nature is ahead of schedule this year, the timing of the varieties will be different than we usually have. But all will surely be delicious!

🍒🍑 Our Tasting & Tour events are our way of connecting with our friends and neighbors by inviting them to visit and experience a working fruit orchard right here in the midst of Silicon Valley. 🌞 🍑🌳 🏃‍♀️🤸

We look forward to you joining us this summer.
