The first official hardware drop from RIU x LABS is live. I wanted a premium, rock-solid CNC stem to elevate our custom builds instead of relying on random generic parts. So we dialed in the finish and completed the look with our clean laser-etched branding. Whether you’re running a clean matte black street cruiser or building a neon restomod, these completely transform the front end of your bike. Swing by the storefront on Wolstraat to check out the colors in person before they’re gone. by @anew.bikes
Honestly just so happy with how I managed to build a bridge right over the V-brakes with this custom bend. A standard straight tube would’ve blocked the calipers completely, so I had to elevate the rack with a custom arch to bypass the whole system. Clean lines, full stopping power, and zero compromises on the geometry. Hand-bent and brazed right here in the ANTWERP. 1/1 like always. #framebuilding #custombikerack #steelisreal #brazing #26aintdead by @anew.bikes

@theobaktwafels rolled up yesterday and casually mentioned he'd been hauling a grown-ass man on the front rack. Absolutely love hearing about the real-world abuse these builds can handle. Looking extra sharp with that chrome handlebar and pink RIU X LABS stem. He totally made my day by @anew.bikes
UNIT: CONCORDE AMERICAN EAGLE 503 🇱🇺🇱🇺🇱🇺 Don't let the flag fool you, American Eagle was actually a Dutch brand under Veltec (the same team behind Concorde). Back in the 90s, they slapped US aesthetics on high-end Japanese Tange steel frames to capture the boom and it worked. Dutch legend Bart Brentjens even took an American Eagle to the first-ever Olympic MTB Gold in Atlanta '96. 📍 TEST RIDE IN WOLSTRAAT DM to visit the shop! #steelisreal #26aintdead #commuter #mtb #vintagemtb by @anew.bikes
UNIT: 1994 GIANT CADEX CFM-3 ⚡ Some bikes don’t need a total overhaul, they just need to be brought back to life #giantcadex #commuter #vintagemtb #26aintdead ead by @anew.bikes
THE APPRECIATION POST // GIANT HURRICANE RESTOMOD Sometimes a build just clicks, and this Giant Hurricane is exactly that. I’m incredibly stoked on how this one turned out, especially that custom splatter paint job on the front rack matching up against the clean frame lines and the RIU x LABS stem. But honestly, the best part of this project was the client. Having someone walk into the workshop, completely trust the vision, and give me total creative freedom to design, braze, and paint a one-of-a-kind machine is the ultimate reward. That kind of trust is exactly why I spend hours sweating over the technical details in the shop. A massive thank you to everyone backing the brand and letting me build these unique rides for the streets. The workshop doors are open at Wolstraat. DM if you’re ready to collaborate on your own unique custom build. #steelisreal #commuter #26aintdead #brazing #vintagemtb by @anew.bikes
THE UNDERRATED CLASSIC // KOGA-MIYATA RESTOMOD Everyone is hunting for vintage 26” mountain bikes right now, which makes you wonder: why don’t we see more builds like this on the street? The reality is, high-end 700c steel like this is incredibly hard to find. This is classic mid-90s hand-built Dutch/Japanese perfection—literally the original blueprint for the modern "urban gravel" bike, built thirty years before the marketing hype. I stripped this one down to highlight Koga’s iconic two-tone split paint job—a deep metallic blue front fading into a light silver-grey rear triangle. But the real magic is in the ride: ▪ Legendary Steel: Built with Miyata’s proprietary, triple-butted Hardtlite FM-1 chromoly steel tubing. It offers a lively, smooth. ▪ Urban Gravel Spec: Rolled on fast-rolling, high-clearance tires designed to swallow up city cobbles, street tram tracks, and weekend gravel paths with ease. This isn’t just a commuter. It’s a rare, hand-built specimen of cycling history re-engineered for the modern streets. Available at the Wolstraat storefront. DM for details or to schedule a test ride. by @anew.bikes
THE REALITY OF A CUSTOM RESTOMOD // GIANT HURRICANE People see the final photo and think it’s just a clean vintage bike. They don’t see what actually goes into the process. Stop and look at the details on this cockpit for a second. Every single element on this frame is completely deliberate: ▪ Custom Front Rack: Hand-bent, aligned, and brass-brazed right here in the workshop to perfectly match the frame geometry. Real metal fabrication built for actual utility. ▪ RIU x LABS CNC Stem: Precision CNC-machined 6061-T6 aluminum in Chroma Fuel, mounted with a dialed-in quill conversion for an absolute rock-solid front end. ▪ Restomod Engineering: Stripping it down to the bare frame, chasing threads, overhauling bearings, and routing clean cables so it rides tighter than it did thirty years ago. You can’t buy this kind of character off a warehouse shelf. It takes hours of design, patience, and raw technical sweat to bring it all together. Honestly, I’m incredibly thankful for the trust you guys place in my work every day—whether you’re picking up a small component, grabbing a custom rack, or rolling out of the shop on a full build. Having people back the vision makes the hours in the workshop completely worth it. DM if you want a unique build like this one #26aintdead #commuter #brazing #anewbikes by @anew.bikes
DIVISION DEPLOYMENT: RIU x LABS // BATCH 01 🌐 I’m incredibly proud to finally introduce RIU x LABS—the dedicated component and hardware arm of ANEW BIKES. When I’m building out custom 90s resto-mods, I spend hours trying to hunt down cockpit parts that hit that perfect mix of heavy-duty street utility and clean, industrial design. Mass-produced stock bike parts usually look too generic and vintage parts are getting harder to find in mint condition. So, I went hunting. RIU x LABS is a curated selection of high-spec components that I've personally sourced, tested, and approved for the streets. If it isn't tough enough or clean enough for my own builds, it doesn't make the cut. SPECIFICATION PROFILE: CNC STEM BATCH 01 • Metallurgy: Full CNC Machining • Architecture: Ultra-rugged, high-load BMX strength reimagined for retro ATB cockpits • Colorways: Oil-slick, neon pink, and black STATUS: Unboxing and quality-testing the very first Batch 01 sample line. #commuter #custombikebuild #cnc #26aintdead #vintagemtb by @anew.bikes
