Press release for Anomie written by @94diskont [song was specifically chosen for reading]

Still amazed by the support and acceptance I revived for this performance/body of works. Wishing there was a way to translate and share this beyond a 2D space.

Updated my website with select documentation from the last few exhibitions/installation. Excited to share more. - c-n.info - 🔗 in bïo by @ang5l__

Elevated over 9,000 feet in @lassennps Lassen Volcanic National Park, I explored site specific activations with various works. Encapsulated within the landscapes from meadows, sulfur pits, lava caves, inactive volcanoes and snow capped mountains; I approached these activations by recontectualizing the work(s) as a compass. Positioned towards either the coordinates of my birthplace, true north, or the cardinal directions.

The process became ritualistic, as each activation was proceeded by hikes scaling up to 9,000 feet while carrying the sculpture(s) on my back, weighting at a little under 5 pounds of concrete and steel.

This project informed my relationship with mortality, how we give back to the material through our practice, and site specific elements of my work outside of its typical installation confines.

Immensely grateful to the unfolding lessons from this land. Sometimes the ‘residency’ is the three day camping trip you take with friends. (Thank you @hunterpao for sharing this beautiful park with me!) taken in Lassen Volcanic National Park by @ang5l__
