tryon fall 2 🍁🍂

last show before indoors!
happy was absolutley amazing and jumped in top form all weekend to prep for harrisburg in a few weeks. she won a class and had good ribbons in her other classes…well, maybe not her classic but i kinda forgot the last jump 🤦‍♀️. “angela, jump the last jump…if you want to.” 😂
thank you @seaborne_farm for the fun weekend and reminding me about my last jump. it was awesome to see all my seaborne friends. love spending time with yall! xena especially likes laney and her goldfish.
xena also enjoyed getting many treats from @deannadye_ yesterday.
happy also got to go on a very long trail ride with her boyfriend and @meghanekaergel where she encountered her first bus.
here’s to the rest of the season!!

also if you like the song - check out @spellofleaves my husband wrote this song ;) taken in Tryon International Equestrian Center by @angelapollex

two show weeks so great i couldn’t even include all the photos

SATP:
Happy collected good ribbons in the combined A/Os and a 4th in the combined JR/AO Classic
Mattie also got to attend her very first show, and she had a blast!

Aiken Fall Festival II:
Happy took great ribbons in the 3’6 AOs. She put in a brilliant and very handy handy but her mother is stupid and made her have a rail. she was 4th in the AO classic with an 84&81.5
Eli was a little super star being top 3 in every over fences class and win to take the reserve champ. congrats @lizacram i’m happy to be second to you 🤩

thanks to @beverly.burnette.14 , @rachcle & @gold_standard_equestrian for making weekends like this possible.
it was also amazing i spend weekends with so many amazing friends. I’m so glad to have so many people in my corner. by @angelapollex

blowing rock 2026!!

entering post blowing rock depression mode. it was the best two weeks as always.
week 1:
happy was 5 and 8 out of 50 horses with @celia.cram in the performance 3’3 getting scores of 85.25 and 82
she also gave me multiple scores in the 80s for good ribbons out of very good company. the four other pairs in the 3’6 were no joke!
week 2:
happy had her annual blowing rock meltdown first day of the amateurs, but she rallied back to be second in both classes the next day. scratched the classic round with her, so she could rest up for her international derby debut. in her debut, she was 7th in the first round, 9th in the handy, and 8th overall. i also received the lita l wagensteen memorial trophy for highest placing amateur. very cool to have my name on a trophy with other amazing riders.
happy enjoyed her trail rides with @anjacnorcross and commander. how cool is it to just hang out with one of your best friends for 2 weeks straight!
thanks to @cathrin_cammett_showfolio, @sadieparkereq, and @sarahshuping for the photos. thank you @darbeecenter for the amazing braids for happy. of course a major shout out and thank you to @highfieldsllc for another amazing blowing rock they gave me. love you guys so much. ready for indoors with yall!
also, yes my dog wore a wig.
cheers to another year and to you if you read this caption. only 50 more mondays until we do it again!! by @angelapollex

WEC Summer 3 and 4 ☀️🐴
celebrated my 31st with my GSE fam in ocala this year.

happy:
wk 1 she put in an amazing round in the derby, but a heart breaker rail kept us out of the handy. she also was 6th in the AO Classic
wk 2 she captured reserve in the 3’6 AO (if my butt sat up we would’ve been champ 😅) with a class win and top three placings in the other classes. she was also 9th in the classic.

eli:
wk 1 he was reserve in the young hunters with @gold_standard_equestrian and was 3rd in the adult classic with me.
wk 2 he won a class with natalie and missed reserve by only a few points. in the adults, he won a class with me, and also missed reserve by only a few points. he was third in the classic again as well. bonus points for him packing me around despite breaking my ribs a few hours earlier. the BEST boy.

polo:
wk 1 he got some ribbons in the 1.10 with fast clear rounds
wk 2 he had the time for first on friday but one rail makes him the fastest four falter for 4th. thanks @fh_equestrian for letting me ride polo!!

thank you natalie and @rachcle for everything yall do. pedro and rodrigo for helping my guys look their best, and @losoltis for being the best roomie ever!

xena had a blast with all her friends, and we all can’t wait to come back in the winter! also got to visit my dad in daytona to celebrate my birthday for a few days

we may not have come home with a devon blue, but not many people can say they took a horse from the 2’3 USHJA all the way to the 3’6 AOs in Devon. the most overstimulating horse show in the country, and happy held it together…in the ring. she delivered good rounds in a field of horses who are far more experienced and expensive than we are. our scores may not have shown it, but i am so proud of her.
thank you to happy’s entire team far and wide. YOU ARE ALL APPRECIATED. taken in The Devon Horse Show by @angelapollex

the most fabulous ten days at the aiken spring classic!!

wk 1: happy was reserve in the open derby hunters with bruce scoring an 85 in the second round. she also was reserve with me in the 3’6 AOs winning the first trip on sunday.

wk 2: happy was second in the derby missing the win by 1 singular point. saturday she won the second hunter and the hack. sunday she took care of me as i rode like a “jack russell”, but we still managed to pull out reserve and she was second in the classic

happy also took circuit champ for the 3’6 AOs & had the most points of all the AOs as well. this marks her second consecutive asc circuit champ. how did i get so lucky?

xena had the best two weeks of her entire life where she got to make and play with all her new best friends. nine of them to be exact. she also acquired several new aunts and uncles as well. aunt @deannadye_ and @lilrhoden helped zz find her new favorite toy. swipe to the end to see how she ended her night with “larry the lobster”

thank you to @christison_stables for an amazing two weeks, @xobreeeckles for the best dragonslayers, @kryals002 for getting my trailer going yesterday, @courtney_craver for all the great videos of kevin, @bellaryals_eq for the excellent prep on happy 😂, and @progressiveshowjumping for once again hosting some of the best two weeks of the year!! i’m not sure how we topped last year, but we did!

congrats to everyone on a great two weeks!! taken in Highfields Event Center by @angelapollex

had to repost because i messed up the last post 😂

last florida dump for end of circuit…there might be one more…
thank you to everyone who made my last minute change of plans work out so smoothly. it was definitely different working in the sun with more normalish hours instead of 17 hour days on snow.
happy started the circuit with a classic win, and she finished the circuit with a reserve champ with a hack and handy win. results on paper may not have shown the improvement, but the photos, videos, and feel does. happy is going better than ever, and i’m so excited to keep improving.
thanks to my never ending support from my parents, everyone at homer who kept it running, @gold_standard_equestrian and @rachcle for all your hard work and dedication to my horses and i, and @drew.gordonnn for being the best roommate i could possibly ask for.
same time next year!! taken in HITS Post Time Farm by @angelapollex
