Pics from our northwoods/Lake Superior/Voyageurs hiking trip! Highlights include waterfall after waterfall cascading through rocky gorges, some seriously impressive hiking trails, Lake Superior’s enduring mysteries/cooling mists, lush green forests, lighthouses, pasties, and dominating the “lost cities” category of trivia at a bar on the scenic shores of Kabetogama Lake. It’s so sad to see this area hit hard by wildfires and smoke (which we were lucky enough to just barely miss). Though we did experience the hottest temps (around 100 degrees!) the Voyageurs area has seen in over a century.
