One of the biggest misconceptions in entrepreneurship is that companies grow because of better strategies.

Strategy matters.
Capital matters.
Hiring matters.

But founder development is often the variable we talk about the least.

I've worked with enough founders to know that every stage of growth demands a new version of the person leading the company.

The founder who launches the business isn't the same founder who scales it.

The founder who manages a team of five isn't the same founder who leads a team of fifty.

And the founder who survives adversity isn't the same founder who entered it.

What struck me about this conversation with @angie_tebbe of @raeforwellness was her emphasis on internal work. Not as a luxury. Not as something you prioritize when you have extra time. But as a fundamental business practice.

Because leadership isn't just about building a company.
It's about building the capacity to lead the company you're trying to create.

@dearfoundher: @raeforwellness’ comeback proves that building something real never goes out of style.

This week on @dearfoundher, I’m sitting down with @angie_tebbe to talk about what she’s been up to since appearing on the show in season one — from a major retail setback and misalignment with a key partner to the difficult decision to pause her company entirely.

We talk about what it’s really like to rebuild after things fall apart, make hard decisions, and come back with more clarity.

Angie shares what the pause looked like behind the scenes, what she changed the second time around, and how her customers helped lead the way back.

She stepped away from her company for nearly two years.

But her customers kept checking in.
They kept emailing, leaving reviews, and asking when she’d be back.

That kind of loyalty doesn’t happen overnight.
It’s built through consistency, trust, and staying rooted in what matters most.

When you build something people believe in, they'll remember it, even during quiet times.

The episode is live.
🎧 Listen wherever you get your podcasts.

I can’t wait to hear what you think about this one.

Honored to be featured in Forbes 💫
We built Rae to make wellness feel simple, accessible, and actually doable—no matter your routine or your budget.

Because showing up for yourself should never out of reach.

Scaling isn’t just about growing faster.
It’s about building something that can actually hold that growth.

In this week’s She Is a Leader Podcast episode, I’m joined by Angie Tebbe, founder of Rae Wellness, to talk about what it really takes to build a business that lasts.

We get into:
• Why doing everything “right” can still break
• What happens when your business becomes your identity
• How community becomes the foundation when systems fail
• Why slowing down is sometimes the strongest move

This episode is for founders who care about impact, not just scale.

I’ve learned a lot over the years. But, the one thing that never changes is the importance of putting the customer at the center of every decision.
