Schmuck Rangiora celebrates contemporary Aotearoa jewellery to coincide and in recognition of Aotearoa artists presence and connections to the annual prestigious Schmuck Munich held every March.

Schmuck Rangiora opens Sunday 15 March at Chamber Gallery Rangiora, with Floor Talks by Artists 2pm and Opening celebration at 3:30pm. Featuring mahi by Becky Bliss @becky_bliss_jewellery , Louise Hill @louise_hill_artist , Anna Claire @annaclaireartjewellery , Louise Johns @long_johns_silver , Angus Goodwin @angus_goodwin , Julie Hassall @juliehassallart , and Pippa Mills @sea.drift.studio . Artists hail from across the moto to include Pōneke Wellington, Kā Muriwai Arrowtown, Rangiora, Ōhinehou Lyttelton, and Te Wharau Charteris Bay.

You are warmly welcomed tonight, Thursday 19 June, 6–7:30pm at Rei Gallery, Lyttelton (behind the Hope River Pie Shop, Forbes Lane, Lyttelton) for the opening of our group Matariki exhibition ✨✨✨

This special show brings together new works for Matariki from a range of creatives:

Amanda Hoffmann, Angus Goodwin, Carrie Keith, Damian Mackie, Jo Ewing, Jono Stone, Juliet Neil, Kate McLeod, Liana Ashenden, Lucy Tyndall, Marcina, Michael Phillip Bennet, Redgie Walker Small, Richie Pops Baker, Rosie, Russ Harris, Russel Tawhai, Sage Rossie-Tong, and Simon Max-Bannister.

Opening Night:

If you would like to visit at another time, Rei is open: Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 11am-2pm. Saturday 10am-3pm. Sunday 11am - 1pm.

Kia ora koutou 😊 This necklace - ‘he whenua he whenua he whenua’ - is from a collection of works I have made reflecting on encounter and change in response to the operational importance of our founding and guiding document – Te Tiriti o Waitangi (1840). Toitū te Tiriti! This collection focuses on who we are and where and how we stand as people within the Whakaraupō harbour basin, where I live.

Te Tiriti is the fundamental framework for our responsibilities to each other and within our environment in Aotearoa/New Zealand.

Te Tiriti is a catalyst for environmental rehabilitation within our cultural landscape, towards sustainability and healing of both environment and people.

That’s right folks! It is a pleasure and a privilege to be a part of this fantastic, fun fundraising event for the Lyttelton Primary School. This will be my third time (previously in 2019 & 2017).
