Trying to find the words to write this post feels surreal. Basketball has never been just a sport to me, it’s been a part of my life and my family’s life for as long as I can remember. It has molded me into the person I am in the best and hardest ways. Through basketball I have experienced so much happiness, sacrifice, discipline, and growth that I will carry with me for the rest of my life. I have met so many people who became family, brothers and sisters who pushed me and supported me. Coaches and trainers who I trusted and confided in, every one of you have played a part in my story, and I am truly grateful.

None of this would have been possible without the incredible support system I have around me. I am beyond blessed to have the parents that I have. To be loved and invested in from beginning to end. To have my own personal mentors through this sport and life itself. I want to thank them and the rest of my family, especially my brothers, for always showing up, even during the moments when things were uncertain. Spending countless of hours, time and money to get me where I am today. Your encouragement, sacrifices, and constant support gave me the strength to keep going when i began to get tired of it all.

Going through this journey with my twin sister has never been easy. Just like all siblings, sometimes we can be on complete different pages but at the end of the day everyone knows where we stand, and that is against the world. Me and her vs everyone. No matter where life takes me next, basketball will always be a part of who I am. I will always be forever grateful for the roller coaster journey God has chosen for me and I’m looking forward to and very excited to see what he has next in store for me.
