I think one of the best parts of being a creative is realising that inspiration rarely comes from sitting in front of a screen.

It comes from the places you visit, the people you meet, the conversations you have, and sometimes just noticing something you would normally walk past.

With Adobe MAX coming up, I’m looking forward to being around so many creative friends again. Seeing what everyone is making, learning how they think, and probably coming home with way too many new ideas I want to try.

Sometimes the best thing you can do for your creativity is give it more things to be curious about.

I love making videos more immersive and here are some ways I do that with Adobe Firefly Boards.

I storyboard my video by hand, and then film my raw footage. When I am happy with what I have recorded, I bring those clips in my Boards along with any assets I want to use. I use my references to create a green screen video clip that I can then chroma key out in the final video.

I also like to create covers and CTAs in my video using text prompts within Firefly Boards, which just adds the finishing touches. And I can access everything on mobile now, which is my favorite for when I am filming outdoors.

Some PDFS come with a lot of information, but figuring out what matters can take a minute... or two. With @adobeacrobat, I can turn all that information into
an interactive report that makes it way easier to understand and explore.

Instead of going back and forth through pages of information, I can get a clearer video of what’s actually in the doc and what I need to pay attention to.

Ok I was going through some of my designs for last year when I was prepping for MAX and I realised I havent even started the prep for this year's sticker exchange. I think this is a good time as any to announce I will be at Adobe MAX this year in Miami and hope to see many familiar faces and make new friends. So if you're going to be there, please reach out and lets do something fun.

But also, do you like any of these? I think I might use these for the sticker exchange or are we thinking a completely new design??? IDK yet.

And there it is, the end of August. I turned 34 this month and it was a very special month in terms of growth, friends, travel and life-lessons.

I spent hours exploring The Met and saw a Broadway show that was genuinely life-changing. Now I’m watching a Broadway show every time I visit. 😬

August was also a big month creatively. I was a guest on a few @adobelive streams with the wonderful @byjacobparis as my host as well as my constant favorite producer @flyntracy. The ambassador community built by our very own @katecommunity has been so supportive and I found out @theantibeigedesigner and @andsiosa are going to hangout soon in Miami?!? ✨👀 a lot happened, but more than anything, this month reminded me that it’s okay to take breaks.

Now, I’m ready for the rest of the year, as changes happen all around me, to try and have a positive outlook and welcome the change rather than be opposed to it. How was your month and what’s something that inspired you? by @anikaagg

Imagine a single platform for all production stages, say hello to @adobefirefly boards.

One thing about me: I need to see the whole idea before I spend real money making it. I designed this tiny CMYK enamel pin in Illustrator and then brought it to Firefly Boards to explore the full creative direction before committing to production.

Seeing the backing card, testing layouts, and playing with the overall vibe made it much easier to spot what was working and what wasn’t.

I’ve been thinking a lot about AI-generated design, especially posters. They have been all over my feed.

I don’t think AI is the problem. I actually think it can be incredibly useful. I use it to automate repetitive tasks, speed up my exploration process, and that gives me more time to focus on the creative decisions that are worth spending time on.

But getting a much faster output doesn’t automatically equate to having a better design.

When any of the AI tools you use, starts making every decision, the basics of design get lost. Typography. Type hierarchy. Negative space. You name it.

A lot of AI posters feel like they’re trying to say everything at once. And when everything is competing for attention, nothing really stands out.

AI should feed into the creative process, not replace it. Let it support the work, but don’t confuse generating something with knowing why it works.

That’s where designers still matter. We bring the thinking, context, restraint, and intention.

AI can give us more options. It can’t replace a trained eye.
