I wanted to animate the ostrich ballerina from Fantasia, aka Madame Upanova. She was such a fun character to draw. I might clean it up a bit more and add color eventually.

Here’s the scene I did for the @officialandreasdeja Animation Scholarship through CTN! It was a once in a lifetime opportunity to get to work with and learn from an animation legend and one of my personal heroes. Thanks @ctnhappenings for making this possible!

I haven't posted in a while, but this is my submission for the 2024 CTN Andreas Deja Scholarship Award. The prompt was a character putting on a jacket that they realize is either too large or too small. A special thanks to my niece for helping provide the reference footage! #2danimation #traditionalanimation #handdrawnanimation #animation by @animator.y

So I got to go to a dude ranch a couple weeks ago and learned to ride horses, which was so much fun! Before that I hadn’t really drawn horses much, but I tried to do some life drawing, and then decided I wanted to try to animate a horse. Anyway, here’s a walk cycle of a horse (based on Samson from Sleeping Beauty).

Here’s a little practice scene I did of Oswald. I haven’t decided yet what scared him, but I have a couple ideas. If anyone has a suggestion that inspires me, I just might add it in! Leave a comment if you have any ideas!

I’ve been working on a short scene of Oswald, so here’s a quick drawing of him. More to come soon!

Walk cycle of Oswald the Lucky Rabbit. I used the approach I learned from the amazing @tinanawrockiart in her 2D Walk Cycle course last year! Planning to clean this up more and possibly add it to a scene soon.

Another animation study of a dancer. The reference I used was from Scott Eaton’s @bodiesinmotion.photo

I have to wait for my husband to watch the Stranger Things finale, so to prevent myself from going insane the last few days I decided to do this rough animation of Will the Wise. ✨

I love the designs of these goons from Sleeping Beauty.

A day late, but couldn’t pass up drawing something for this prompt. And obviously it had to be Aladdin. This one’s dedicated to me in the second grade.
