mini fit dump💕 emptying out the vault, making space for moooooore selfies darlinnng

I really wanna make a fashion challenge for myself soon. try to have fun with all the amazing clothes i have in my wardrobe that i dont gravitate towards. Also working in a café four days a week, i need to find ways of wearing some sick fits with not too many moving parts, so i can still feel cunty even if somewhat diluted for the workplace. maybe ill make a lil series out of it? cos I’m pretty when I cry… our cunty ted talk reflects on the online sad girls community, who rejects the erasure of pain, and instead indulges in it, glamourises it, as an act of resistance against the expectation of a neoliberal, capitalist society, and as an antidote to the girlboss. 🥀🖤💧

Track 2: The Main Character (7:50)

Every main character needs their enemies-to-lovers love interest. And every enemies-to-lovers love interest needs to be the main character once in a while. With celebrities and fictional characters having taken on the role of giving us narratives for navigating life, we attempt to slip into these roles ourselves and are transported into a mythical world of romantic ruins, epic sword fights, forbidden romance and fast paced fan edits.

Track I: The Portal (2:57)

Do you know that feeling you have when leaving the cinema and everything feels just— different? You walk home, intoxicated by the movie. You want to stay in that moment for just a while longer. You don’t ever want this to end.

A voiceover guides us through a narrative where not only the viewer is allowed access into the movie’s world, but the viewer also becomes a vehicle for the movie to enter the spectator‘s world. The on- and off-screen world begin to bleed and mix into each other.

It’s already been two years since we premiered our project “The Extended Play” at Ausstellungsraum Klingental. Ironically, as the project focuses on the bleed of on- and off-screen worlds, we’ve never made proper posts about the four videos, which in this project we call “tracks”. Just like an EP, each “track” can be enjoyed by itself, yet viewing them all together a bigger picture comes into focus.

It was such an intense and rewarding experience that taught us so much and made it possible for us to collaborate with such amazing people! We’re still immensely proud of this project, so here goes a little trip down memory lane 💖 👉🏻👈🏻 over the next days we will invite you into the production madness and joy of each video.

No. 26 Anina Müller – Making Up My Selves
Growing up, children are encouraged to play dress-up games to foster developmental skills. Once grown one is no longer supposed to play pretend, since the “true self” has been found. But what if this self is just an elaborate assemblage of Halsey lyrics, miscellaneous pieces of old, childhood costumes and pop-cultural tropes?

Anina Müller is a performance artist. She completed her BA in Fine Arts at our institute and will soon graduate with a Master in Fine Arts at the LUCA School of Arts in Brussels. Teetering between the absurd and the sincere, her works explore identity through the lens of pop-cultural media and how this influences the perception and presentation of the self.

Wild Papers—Unpredictable as the Future, edited by Ingo Niermann, is a collection of concise scenarios that affect the future of art, technology, gender, and nature. Wild Papers are published on a monthly basis.
