100% drag recap
.

1 show. 15 numbers. 2,5 months. 100+ hours of rehearsal. 30+ dancers. Countless hours of creation and coordination.

We did the damn thing!

What a ride this year was! My first time being the sole head choreographer for the show and let me tell you it was no small order! Filled with gratitude to the brim that I got to contribute to such a huge moment in a lot of people’s year.

First off, enormous thank you to my dancers. You all kept me going strong with your positivity, talent, professionalism and belief in the work we were doing. Y’all gave it all you got and I couldn’t have asked for more! Not only are you incredible artists, but stellar human beings as well 💖

Thank you to every artist who put their trust in my hands when it came to choreo. I love, love, loooovvvveeeee my drag community, and helping you shine is a true pleasure 😌✨

Thank you to all those who made my first headlining number as a drag king in this show everything that it was. I love that I get to represent for the king community (and beyond), and every opportunity to do so in front of so many people is a blessing! (And huge shoutout to @pascaljeremie for lending me the fits 🤩💖)

Thank you @bgb_bgb_bgb @fiertemontreal for believing in me and giving my art a platform 🫶

Lastly, thank you for every word of encouragement or check ins people offered me during this process. It takes a village, and I’m surrounded by real ones, that’s for sure!

Curiosity & Playfulness
.
Yesterday, I had the pleasure of producing my first movement showcase, 3D!
What a ride it was, so much talent, heart and passion graced the stage, truly memories I will keep for a long time! 8 choreographers from different corners of the dance world coming together to celebrate an art form we adore 🤩

I got to close the show with this piece, which is about a group of explorers looking for Curiosity & Playfulness who had been long lost. I got to set this on a cast of actual stars, and I’m so humbled to have been able to work with them for this piece! I think we did find them in the end 😉

Thanks are in order:

Thank you @cabaretmado for having us!

Huge thanks to all the choreographers who presented, we gave hell of a show, with so many different flavors, styles and approaches and I am so grateful for that!

Thank you to all the dancers who graced the stage, y’all were incredible!!
