Sardinien,

Demo after our Advanced Workshop at @forrocomcoracao – exploring the connection between Forró Roots and Universitário for a more fluent and playful dance 💃🕺

This is already the 7th edition of this beautiful event, with all proceeds donated to support children in Brazil. We’ve had the pleasure of teaching at Forró com Coração since the very beginning, and it’s always a joy to be part of it!

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who makes this possible – organizers, volunteers, musicians, DJs, teachers, and students. You are truly amazing! 🫶🏼

With love,
Anna & Alex

This is the full video of the demo that came together after we taught a workshop on the topic of Improvisation & Dance Personality in our classes @bailastudio_aachen .

We love improvising to music that isn’t Forró. In these moments, we apply our Forró basics while drawing inspiration from other dance styles. Communication is key – an unfamiliar beat, different impulses, another way of moving – and of course, things sometimes go wrong when you stray from the “recipe” and try to expand the shared language. But we absolutely love it and have so much fun along the way!

For us, it’s also a way to get to know ourselves better as dancers and to solidify our individual style. Give it a try!

We’ve put together a playlist with songs that work well for this, as their rhythm has similarities to Baião. Feel free to reach out, and we’ll send it to you!
