EMBODIMENT My absolute favourite word is embodiment. It is a word and a concept I keep returning to with everything meaningful to me in this life. Whenever I’m lost and have yet again stumbled in life, ended up going in circles, taking the old wrong tracks, let my Thinking Mind run the show for too long, it’s time to come home to my body. A homecoming Yet again Over and over again They say your body’s a temple but at least mine seems to be a bit of a wreck: old floors and the ceiling has holes in it… But that’s where I live and I need to take care of this. It’s mine and I still kinda love it… I’m beyond grateful to live so near the sea and a sauna, these 2 things are like cornerstones of my embodiment practice. A daily ritual. When I’m here, I don’t look at the clock nor my phone, I watch the waves and I feel my body in and by the waters. A homecoming Like a mother’s womb A safe space I put a lot of time, money and energy to my embodiment practices. Nothing can be as important than tending to this instrument. Nothing you think or say can ever be as meaningful as what you Feel in your body. I’m blessed to get direct feedback from my audiences and singing pupils about their experiences as well, and nothing touches me as much as shared experiences in deep embodiment. The profound love in sharing your body, emotions, expression and experience with others bodies brings me most joy on this earth! And I get to work with this✨! I hope some day I get to sing to You as well, maybe sing With you! I hope some day I get to dance with you, sound with you, swim, swing and sing with you, roll on the floor with you, sweat, swear, sway and scream with you, or sit on silence with you in complete embodiment by @anna.falt
Vi ses i cirkeln ✨🎵⭕️🎵✨ by @anna.falt
The Feeling Of Going I took this photo on a train, on my way to work, feeling happy and exited although sleep deprived. When I see myself I see someone who feels so good in her own body, who enjoys her life and loves exactly where she’s at. I love being on tour, I love trains, I love train stations, I love travelling to new places and singing to new audiences (I also love returning to old places and seeing familiar faces in audiences!). I have created a life that has maximum freedom, and tend to call myself “A Freedom Junkie”. I’m a freelance because I need to work and live Free. Travelling and being on the road (in my case most often On Air or On The Railway) is my happy place. And yet, at the same time, I feel so privileged and thankful that almost all of my work this autumn is around Malmö/Skåne. Many of my gigs I do by my bicycle 🚴! It’s a wonderful change from all the times I’ve been on tour in Norrbotten (far north in Sweden, about 11-15 travel hours from here…) or Finland or Iceland. I often think about sustainability: to live sustainable for both my body & mind, my work, as well as this planet. It’s tuff to get these 3 match as a touring artist… I fly a lot and it takes it’s toll. I sit a lot and I can feel it! I work a lot and sometimes I kinda wish I’d had something more important to immerse myself in and not be so work-orientented. But it feels like this year I’ve found a balance I’ve never felt before. My life has become more sustainable. The feeling of going has nothing to do with me being restless or fleeing things. The feeling of going is me singing my songs because it’s a calling and my privilege of doing what I love for work. Had a talk with my mentor yesterday and felt a bit embarrassed when saying “my work is about Love”. It sounds so grandiose and childish, but it is my thruth! The Feeling Of Going is me moving love thru this body, it’s me moving towards things I love and me loving what I do, being a vessel for songs and sounds that are needed on this planet, in this time. It’s a tuff job and I wouldn’t change it for anything 💗🎶💗 . . . . #singer #laulaja #sångare #sångerska #musician #muusikko #musiker by @anna.falt

It’s autumn🍂 For us freelance musicians, autumn is often a busy time: after work of summer, planning next year’s work, teaching (workshops/courses, starting a new autumn semester, planning all the ongoing teaching…) and the basic baseline of all the gigs & administration. At the same time as nature is starting to wind down, we put on an extra gear and keep on running 🏃🎶✨ As much as I love summer and summer’s tour, autumn is often a time of inspiration and motivation. The constant light and festivals has been changed to the mundane everyday life, which to me often feels like a safe home to come back to. Everyday life is Devotional Work: How to lead a good life that I’ve made for myself in order to have as much freedom, life force energy and pleasure as possible?! What do I do in my normal life, what kind of routines do I build, how do I plan my normal work days/work weeks? What are the basic values I am most devoted to? One of the things I am immensely proud of is my everyday life: the boring stuff, the basic stuff, the mundane stuff that I do on a regular basis. I have created routines of physical exercise, nourishing food, enough of freedom of time and space, easy pace that works for my very sensitive mind&body, regular visits to nature/sauna/bodyworkers and free time that’s built on gaining energy, deep rest, truly giving my spirit what it needs. Believe me when I say, it has Not always been like this! Which is why I feel extra blessed to be living this reality now🙏 My work and life are a lifestyle that I choose and build very consciously and I try to ask myself on a regular basis: where am I going next… What are the next steps to expansion, more freedom, more inspiration and motivation? This year has been a lot about finding an even better work/life balance where I more often feel like I have Just the Perfect amount of Just the work I wanna be doing. And in my free time I can be very unattached to my work and free my mind in enjoying other wonderful things life has to offer💝 Now, in the process of planning on Many future projects for 2027 and forwards, I ask myself again: What is most important, what do I put my focus on? Short answer: Create! by @anna.falt

Invitation to dance Premiered in 2025 Anna Fält, Emma Fält (SE/FIN) and Andrea Mancianti (ITA/FIN). Invitation to Dance is a spellbinding performance, an intimate ceremony, an invitation to calm down or get wild together. The performers create a soundscape that combines ancient traditional and electronic music, experimental voice techniques, improvisation, as well as rhythms and traces created by drawing using different materials. Invitation to Dance consists of moments of listening, drawing, and bodies moving in the shared space. The piece was born from the basic need to come together and create and play, to maybe invite dancing…. Premiered at LUMIT_Stage, Kuopio, in October 11th 2025. Working group: Anna Fält: Voice Emma Fält: Drawing sounds, livelooping Andrea Mancianti: Electric guitar, electronic sounds Anna Maria Väisänen: Facilitating the students LUMIT High School: Collaboration/ Technician Heikki Leppäjärvi Sampo Jaakkola: Photos/Trailer/Documenting the piece Special thanks to Sannamaria Kuula, Kerttu-Liisa Pirinen, Heikki Leppäjärvi and the students /LUMIT With the support of the Finnish Cultural Foundation and TAIKE, LUMIT High School #tanssiinkutsu #performanceart #sounddrawing #andreamancianti #ceremonialspace by @anna.falt
As I’m leaving Capetown today and flying off to Johannesburg: here’s some images, moments and memories from the last 3 days😌 I’ve had the most amazing food (won’t bore you with food photos!), connected with amazing musicians, and been walking & swimming, and trying to take in all of this chaos which is Capetown😅 Sooooo happy and grateful to have been able to do a little hotel room recording with dear Arash although I was a bit ill. Very thankful for my life guard Enrico who kept me company when I was scared to walk the streets alone (most people here advise me not to, so not taking any risks). Extremely grateful to have received the best local-advice from Uncle Kev who told me about the Camp’s Bay Beach where I got to swim in Ice cold water on my last evening here💙🙏 It’s all about the people! It’s Always All about the people. People. Connection. Arts. That’s what Womad is all about❤️‍🔥🎶❤️‍🔥 We’re continuing tomorrow Thu 24/9 at Pretoria with some amazing concerts such as my last solo here, so send all your friends to State Theatre !!! by @anna.falt
First impressions from Womad Festival in Capetown, South Africa: My first day was intense, after 26 hrs travelling I slept for 11 hrs (!) and then had a morning rehearsals with the whole gang performing at the Desmund Tutu Peace Concert, and then had both a lunch concert and evening concert. There’s been wonderful people and wonderful music, really exiting to continue this journey and see what comes next 🎶⚡️🎶 International tours and festivals can be A LOT but what always makes it worth while is the Connections. Thank you all for being so welcoming, helpful and kindhearted 💝 @womadsouthafrica by @anna.falt

Thank you Dan and Marc for making this tour possible for me, and an huge extra thanks for @swedish_arts_grants_committee for the travel grant 🙏 My job is Mental and to travel 25 hours for a few gigs is somewhat idiotic behaviour but hey: I can’t imagine doing anything else🥹❤️🎵 Tag along ya’ll here on SoMe: I am gonna spam you with cool travel photos, backstage material and tour craziness 😜!!! by @anna.falt
