"Fu Mar", April 4, 2012
Watercolour on paper

A couple drifts inside their own quiet orbit. The young man sinks into effortless calm, while the woman’s torso fades out of view, like a memory held just long enough. The air feels slow, warm, shared. Fu and Mar unravel softly. Mar—the sea—suggests floating, salt on skin, the gentle sway of bodies in love. It also lingers as a wordplay, a breath taken in, a smoke exhaled. Not just an action, but a ritual: time suspended, closeness deepened, an intimacy felt rather than spoken.
