Today is the last day to see my painting, “Sighting,” in “Not For Sale: Barter Exchange” at the Harold J. Miossi Gallery at Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo. I really love the concept of this show: nothing is for sale for money, only for trade of goods or services requested by the artist. It’s inspired by a 1969 show by Ed Kienholz, “The Barter Show,” at Eugenia Butler Gallery. It’s fun to see what all of the other artists are trading for in the catalog linked below. Thanks to @stark.tim.curates.art for including me in the show.

A closing reception will be held from 4:30-7 pm. Unfortunately I’m unable to attend, but if you are in the area, please stop by! The catalog is available here:

"Damaged Good," 2026. Oil on linen, 24” x 30”. This painting will be included in "Serious Topics", eponymously curated by @serioustopics opening July 3 @deboergallery in Antwerp, Belgium. This is my first international exhibition, and I will be attending the opening, so I’m very excited!

Besides, it will be in good company alongside paintings by @aikenhump, @justinedifiore, @mccormacamy, @elizabethtremante, @shiri_mordechay, @salomonhuerta, @only_future_thing, @shinsky1 , @5pinknails, @jaquelinecedar and other friends and colleagues I admire.

I'm having a little show of all-new work this weekend at The Mantel, an artist-run micro-gallery in Long Beach. The opening reception is from 4-6 pm this Saturday, April 25 at 3539 Fanwood Ave, Long Beach, 90808. Beer and wine will be served. If you're in the area, please stop by!

The Mantel Gallery is pleased to present "Wonder Room," a solo exhibition by Annabel Osberg. It takes the form of a cabinet of curiosities seeming to have emerged from a parallel world.

Osberg takes full advantage of the micro-gallery's format that allows the artist near-complete control over the diminutive space. Made especially for this show, her experimental art objects exude a whimsical, free-spirited quality that belies dystopic undercurrents. From a painting of distorted eyes whose convergence resembles a spacecraft over a desert, to a sculptural pupa of alien appearance, to a window into a hellscape, each composition speaks to the surreal overtones of life in 2026. These mysterious pseudo-artifacts all work together in tandem to evoke open-ended narratives that shift from piece to piece within the tiny, enclosed installation.

Marking the Mantel Gallery's fifth anniversary, "Wonder Room" runs from April 25-May 10, visible to the public from dawn to dusk, with an opening reception from 4-6 pm on Saturday, April 25.
