Rounding up SWA Summer School 2026 with a fabulous couple of days with @annabrewsterart starting off with her Shoreline Stories workshop capturing the jewels from the beach in a concertina artwork to take home and cherish, followed by a celebration of colours in ink and wash yesterday.

A huge thank you to everyone who came to visit us in Colyton for our open studio event - it was such a lovely week.

I painted this mini landscape of Beer Head as a demo piece with a fabulous friendly audience - who then all got involved trying out my Neocolor II crayons afterwards 😆

🎨 We were delighted to welcome Devon artist @annabrewsterart into school today to work with our Year 1 class as part of Art Week.

The children worked alongside Anna to create a collaborative piece inspired by her 100 Day Art Project. Just like Anna’s project, the artwork is made up of lots of individual pictures that come together to create one larger image.

For our collaborative artwork, the children created a beautiful image of the school allotments, celebrating the plants, flowers and produce that inspire so much of Anna’s work. 🌿

It was a fantastic opportunity for Year 1 to work with a professional artist, developing their creativity while seeing how lots of small contributions can come together to create something really special. 💙 by @annabrewsterart

Our big Open Studio event at Umborne Bridge Studio, Colyton, opens Saturday 11th July - tomorrow!

10-4 daily until Sat 18th July, free parking outside, coffee shop with iced beverages next door and a massivehuge parasol - and we're down by the lovely cooling river with the breeze wafting past. What's not to like?
