LSS Meets: Anna Foster, founder and creative director, @elvdenim Clothes are waste in the wrong hands. Anna Foster of East London resident denim brand, @elvdenim, is a firm believer in designing a way out of the problem. The problem? The trillion tonnes of waste that the fashion industry produces. LSS made a visit to the brand’s HQ in Dalston to discover how it makes everything within a three-mile radius, how collaborations with hotels result in upcycled dresses, shirts and more, made with retired bed linen, and how tables, coasters and chairs in the studio are made using denim offcuts. But most of all, how clever design, like the brand’s mid-seam silhouette, makes for jeans that fit a woman’s body like a glove. A revolutionary idea that waited over a century to come into existence (!)
