I’ve fallen in love with…a Swamp Cypress! Looking forward to your colour display!

Unfortunately I couldn’t get the cat in the picture to boost likes!! And I’m sure bark has a very limited audience - but I love it!!

Thank you for the tree walk @chiswick_house - it was fabulous and informative! taken in Chiswick House & Gardens by @annafotobooth

I’ve been doing a lot of playing! Still plenty of play to come but I’m showing some of my experiments in processes and materials at the Interim Show of @morley_college MA in Creative Practice. I’m in the part-time cohort but the full timers will have finished artworks on the ground floor of @morleygallery (see last slide).

This is an experiment outside of my comfort zone as it involved….ironing!!

The first image shows a detail of the top layer of this multi-layered work with the benefit of hot wax - which, yes, I ironed onto @awagami_factory 42g Kozo paper. The second image shows the unironed version and you can see how the hot wax has made the paper translucent! An ironing success - unusual for me!
