This is how I remember 9/11. Standing on Sixth Avenue. People walking north, some full of dust, empty faces. People gathering around cars, listening to the radio. People gathering, finding strength and understanding in each other. And that deep, deep, unimaginable grief none of us could grasp. Strangers, friends, as New Yorkers do. With love and care, and resilience, always. I was lucky that I lived many blocks away where only the smell and smoke reached me. But it shook me. To the core. by @annagutto

For the film I’m currently writing, about Henrik and Suzannah Ibsen, I got to stay in the room they stayed, looking out at the view of the sea and the town they looked upon while he wrote this great play - and I also got to dig into the local archives; walk the trails they hiked; and visiting the sites they likely stopped by along their travel. 150 years ago is not long ago. It’s mostly the same. We might wear nylon and worry about ultra processed food, but otherwise, mostly the same ❤️ taken in Amalfi, Italy by @annagutto

Frida R. Oliva at Berlinale Talents 2026. I can attest to her strong artistic vision, hard work, good attitude and exemplary execution from her work on Paradise Highway. And she’s just simply great to be around 🌟❤️. She mentions the film we created together in her chat with Berlinale Talents.
