A sweet little loo we designed in a recent project.

We added panelling and wrapped the walls and ceiling above in rice paper sheets.

Each sheet is printed by hand in the batik method. One of the joys is that no two sheets are the same - the imperfections are there to be celebrated.

A deep wall hung pietra grey marble basin makes the most of the small space with very smart antique brass taps from @studioore

A wee jewel box of a space.

Sweet teeny guest loo in our Norfolk project as featured in the July issue of @houseandgardenuk available now.

We carved the space out of an existing bedroom and wrapped the room in a pretty @antoinettepoisson wallpaper.

Happy weekend x

We re-configured the first floor of this lovely family home in north london so the bedroom, previously accessed only from the landing, now opens into a light-filled bathroom at the rear, and a dressing room & study at the front.

We increased the depth of the hearth wall to anchor the headboard, adding joinery either side.

Earthy blues and brick reds underpin the bedroom scheme.

We designed this banquette to feel convivial and work just as well for family breakfasts as it does for dinner parties, with room to pull up more chairs around the table. The curved banquette wraps around an oval table, making the most of quite a compact space, and creating a lovely place to gather.

So lovely to see it in the September issue of @homesandgardensofficial. Thankyou @arabellayouens for including us.

A view from the living room through to the kitchen beyond at our Norfolk project - the living room was painted in a fresh porcelain blue which sits so nicely between the original oak beams and the terracotta floor, gently bridging the two.

Hand-pressed oak veneer panels line the walls in the living room of our Holland Park project.
The beautiful Feraghan rug from @robertstephensoncarpets became the foundation for the room and the perfect foil for the clients Mapplethorpe photographs.
I was particularly pleased to find the 1940’s French oak desk from @quindry_antiques which sits handsomely in the bay window and I think feels entirely at home there!

Green often finds its way into our projects, whether it’s on an architrave or window frame, a painted piece of furniture or a bedspread.

Its a subtle way to open an interior to its surroundings, and allowing the seasons a little more present within the spaces we inhabit 🌴

This room was formerly an artists studio. It’s not hard to see why with its towering windows and double height ceilings. It’s a wonderfully light-filled space!

Decorating it felt rather daunting at first because of the sheer volume. The geometric rug from @arumfellow was a good starting block and set the tone for the scheme. We re-upholstered the clients existing Jean Royere armchairs in a caramel velvet and designed a quite sculptural sofa to sit with the curved profile of the armchairs - which help soften the otherwise quite angular space.

@emmastewart_curtainworkroom was entrusted with making the curtains - which given the 5 meter drop on these windows was no mean feat!

Feature published in the May issue of @houseandgardenuk and online.

Great to see this enjoyable project completed a couple of years ago, up on the @houseandgardenuk website today.

The two guest bedrooms at our Holland Park project, as recently featured in @houseandgardenuk

With the super tall ceilings and neutral walls we wanted to layer texture, colour and textiles to help the spaces feel warmer. We mixed antique pieces with textural fabrics and pattern to bring character and some softness to both rooms - @emmastewart_curtainworkroom worked her magic with the beautifully made curtains.

Our clients wonderful art collection really helped shape the feel of the spaces.
